View Full Version : Anyone else have a lot more of one kind of gas station that another?
gilligan fanatic 01-18-2006, 11:49 AM Where I live there are so many Wawa's. Almost everyone we have is that kind. We have a few Citgos and Sheetz a few Exxons and BP's but that is about it. We have one Mobil and one Crown. It is about 75% Wawa and 25% everything else. We don't have a Sunaco, Cogo's, Chevron, Hess, Conoco Phillips, Texaco, or 76. Is there a gas monopoly where you live?
Kazza 01-18-2006, 12:24 PM One in every corner
Walmart sells gas, HEB (local grocer) sells gas too, TigerMart, Texaco, Conoco, 7/11's, Shell, Diamond Shamrock...
bad_boy 01-18-2006, 03:20 PM We have like 3 Sunoco's within a mile of each other.
Moonlight Lady 01-18-2006, 03:40 PM We have mostly Mobil, Sunoco and Stewarts out where I live.

I love Stewarts! Every time I go Upstate, I like to run in and get one of their sundaes :D We don't have anything like that on Long Island.
Anyway, we have gas stations one right after the other (basically everyone on LI drives so it's unavoidable). We have a lot of Mobils, Hess, Coastal (which I go to), Amaco, and a lot of smaller, non-brand name stations.
Steve M. 01-18-2006, 08:06 PM We have a lot of Exxons, and I don't go to them because of what happened seventeen years ago at Alaska's Prince William Sound.
dawsongirl 01-19-2006, 04:01 AM QuikTrip...and OMG, where were we...Kansas, Nebraska...they don't have any...I wanted to like, die. QT rules Kansas City though...Thank GOD.
Chelsea 01-19-2006, 04:59 AM Many many Shell stations here. BP too

Stormtracker TF 01-19-2006, 12:01 PM There's TONS of Gas stations around here, but they're really mixed. Mobil, Clark, and Shell basically with a ton of little gas stations that arent owned by chains.

I don't think we have Hess anymore. Stewarts does have really good Ice Cream. My mother likes their sundaes too. :)
dawsongirl 01-19-2006, 03:21 PM what happened?
I think it was that big tanker spill, where the ship's captain was found to be drunk.
YoliUSA 01-19-2006, 05:02 PM Most of my town's stations are either Shell or Texaco.
