Okay, I need someone to clear something up for me. I saw this story for the first time today and I did some searches on this board, with no mention of this aspect.

What I can't understand is this passage from the Lifetime website:

Tim Good's bank account, which had previously held almost a million dollars, now contained less than $2. Authorities soon discovered that the man who called himself "Dave Freeman" is actually Winston George Jelks.

It went on to say that the family continued living in the main part of the house while Tim Good's body was in the basement for nearly SEVEN FREAKING MONTHS?!?!?

Can someone please tell me how that doesn't make the wife an accomplise?

Also, has it been fleshed out as to how this goofball ever got such a mental hold on Tim Good?

It's a good question. I'm not sure why the wife wasn't found to be an accomplice in this, as she had to have known what happened to Tim Good, which would fall under the definition of "aiding and abetting" a criminal.

You've got me. I share your same questions. I often wonder how a seemingly bright guy like Tim Good fell under the spell of Dave Freeman.

Might have something to do with the Laws of that state and whether the District Attorney considered the wife a willing accomplice. After all the suspect was said to have gained control over Tim Good. A defense attorney could easily argue the same point and say that the wife was under duress and was afraid of what her husband would do to her if she started asking questions. It is also possible she really was oblivious to what had became of Tim Good.. but that theory is compromised by the fact the vents in the house were taped up.. I would lean more towards questioning if she was a willing participant in the murder of Tim Good... Dave Freeman strangled Tim Good not his wife..

other than the murdering him, that freeman guy was pretty awsome. hes like the cult leaders, but he just did it to one guy. he took his house and money, in a completly legal way. he didnt need to kill him though.
