I'd rather be an alive snob, than a dead humble person. Nothing about you wanting to be safe, makes you a snob. Kind of strange that your mom would react that way. seems like she'd be glad that her son prefers living in a safer neighborhood. Being able to save a little extra money isn't worth putting your life at greater risk.

not at all a friend of mine lives and works in philly and he says that everybody there is trying to do the same thing you are you are not a snob by any means
