Does anyone here have episodes of The Bill Cosby Show (1969-71)? I have all 52 episodes, but I want to upgrade a couple. I'm looking for these two episodes: The Elevator Doesn't Stop Here Anymore & Viva Ortega. Episodes must be complete and uncut. Anyone who can help I'm open to trade. E mail me at Lecagr@aol.com

To the site administrator,

Would you be able to find out who owns the rights to The Bill Cosby Show and if the episodes will ever be available on DVD? I'm amazed this show hasn't been released on DVD yet. All we ever see is the 80's Cosby Show. IMO, that show is no way near as good as The Bill Cosby Show. Maybe it was more popular, but I think The Bill Cosby Show was the better show. The Bill Cosby Show really needs to be put out on DVD. But I'm afraid there is just not enough public interest in the show to make it happen.

The Bill Cosby Show was classic Cosby at his best. His Chet Kincaid character was cool and likeable. The episodes were well acted, had good situations and were fun to watch. I'm glad I have all of these, I just want to upgrade the two episodes I mentioned in the previous post.

Wanted to ask you, is there any particular shows you are looking for because I have a interest in just three Bill Cosby Show eps

The one with Isabel Sanford from the Jeffersons
The one with Nathaniel taylor from Sanford and Son
The one with John Amos from Good Times

TVResearcher,

At the moment, I'm just trying to locate those two elusive Bill Cosby Show episodes.

Isabel Sanford appeared in two Bill Cosby Show episodes. She was in the episode- The Lincoln Letter and also the episode titled The Barber Shop. The Barber Shop is my all time favorite episode. Absolutely hilarious!

John Amos had a very brief part in the beginning of the episode- Swann's Way. Another funny episode with Don Knotts guest starring as a repossessor trying to repossess Chet's TV set.

I don't remember seeing Nathaniel Taylor in a Bill Cosby Show episode, I'll have to check that out.

Do you know if these short-live Cosby tv shows exist

Cos Variety Show-1976
New Bill Cosby Show-1972

Got it. Nathaniel Taylor appeared in The Bill Cosby Show episode- Power Of The Trees. I think he was billed in the credits as Ji Tahadi. That's what crossed me up.

I only saw a small clip of the Cos Variety Show when VH1 did the 100 Greatest Child Stars back in the summer of 2005

I recently transferred my Bill Cosby Show episodes from VHS tapes to DVD's. So I have the series on my master tapes and also on DVD. In time, I'll be transferring a lot of my stuff on to DVD. Difficult to tell how long the VHS tapes will last. Some tapes I've had 20+ years, they still play in fine shape.

I think you can remove the RARE label from your set of the Bill Cosby Show because I just found out this morning that this show will be released on DVD in June at a price of $39.95. So as of June 2006, this show will no longer be rare and you can get those 2 eps in PERFECT quality that you were looking for.

Yes, I discovered recently that The Bill Cosby Show episodes were recently made available by PRO- Peter Rodgers Organization. That is absolutely awesome news, I hope they will be putting all 52 episodes out. Looks like this great show will at last see the light of day again. Do you know which distribuor will be releasing the DVD's?

Sony BMG is listed as the distributor. Now I hope they can release the New Bill Cosby Show or Cos Variety Show
