Even though she died in the summer of '86, what actually happens to her character Florence "Flo" Kleiner?

They simply mention at the beginning of the season that she died. Harry was talking about how he felt about hearing his mother died. He said "When Selma died, I felt loss. When Florence died . . . I felt loss."
That was the only real mention that I caught. Hope that helps.
