So what do you think of Infinity's format change now that Howard Stern has gone into space?

Personally, i think it stinks. Call this brave "new" format what you will, to me it just sounds like a bunch of folks sitting around not being funny or interesting.

A few years ago the once great New York station WNEW (102.7) tried this same kind of format (they called it "hot talk") and it was a dismal failure.

I haven't listened to all of the new folks on the Free FM air yet, but I've heard enough to say I've had enough. I give David Lee Roth credit for trying, but he's beginning to bore me.

What does everyone else think?

I've already got the satellite thingy, and have been listening to it non-stop all week when I'm home. It's been Howard during the week and some of the music channels over the weekend. Can't say enough about how great it is. I really don't see myself going to back to terrestrial radio unless it's to listen to Mike and the Mad Dog.

I agree with you about giving DLR credit for trying, but there's not much there that makes me want to listen to him, and even less from that duo that follows his show. I have to settle for regular radio on the job, so I've sampled a little bit of "Free-FM" everyday. I'm glad I've got Sirius to come home to.

I have Sirius and I love Howard. Whoo hoo.

but! the other day I tuned into the channel that once aired Howard just to hear how that was going and it sounded like S**T!!!! Adam Corolla, I cannot even begin to tell you how awful he sounds on radio. His voice is so damn annoying. David Lee Roth...I won't even bother to comment. DULL!!!!!!

So how long will it be before WFNY goes all-disco, all-hip-hop, or all-whatever? Rock? In NYC? BAHHHHH! ohno:
