I am seeing the movie for the first time right now and I didn't know he was in this movie. It makes me so sad and yet, he is soooooo funny as usual.

I've seen it too. Not really one of his best only because it wasn't exactly centered around him. One of his last movies like 'Manhood' or 'Man Of The Year' in my opinion, those were very good.

I like this movie. I have the DVD. I am assuming this was John's last piece of work. Notice Billy Bob Thorton was saying F*uck in every sentence throughout the movie. LOL

I couldn't help but notice the F word so much. I was on the computer when my boyfriend was watching the movie and i started to watch it and all i heard was F**** F****. I had to make sure our son wasn't in the living room where he could hear it...

anyone ever seen a John Ritter movie, i can't recall the name, but it had him stuck in television going from one show to another. I think Pam Dawber was in it. Anyways, i didn't really care for that movie. He deserved to do better movies.

It was ok, but I think he's made for t.v. movies are really good like 'Heartbeat':). It's a really feel good movie. And 'The Summer My Father Grew Up'.

what was the name of that creepy movie he made with Henry Winkler where Henry plays a psycho type character? I can't remember all the details but it was creepy seeing Henry in that role.

It was called, "The Only Way Out" I saw that on Lifetime a few years ago. That was good, because Henry did a good job playing a psycho. Weare used to seeing him playing cool, and he played a crazy stalker.

I Love John Ritter

I agree, "Stay Tuned" was ok. I liked "Heartbeat" and "The Summer My Father Grew Up" as well.

I believe the movie you're referring to is "The Only Way Out". I've never seen this movie. I think it aired on the Lifetime channel once, but never aired again.

I really wish that Lifetime tv would air 'The Only Way Out' again. That was a really good movie. Not for nothing, but if I have to see on Lifetime 'Lethal Vows' again with John, I'll scream! They must've aired that movie about three times already on Lifetime tv. Not that I don't enjoy his work, but he's made other Lifetime movies besides that one.

I've read a lot that Billy Bob Thornton and John Ritter were good friends. Billy realized the amazing talent that John had. He cast him in his movie, Sling Blade. John was fantastic in that role.

John was a gifted comedian and was equally as talented in dramatic roles. It's still so hard to believe that he's gone.

Oh, and 'Bad Santa' was his last movie that he made. I thought it was 'Manhood'. It wasn't. If you go to buy(or rent) the movie 'Manhood', in the bounus features, you can hear the director in the background talking about the movie, how it was made, etc. Anyway he spoke about John, and he said that when John was in the process of making this movie, he was also in NYC with Henry Winkler doing a play, and working on the pilot of(8SR) which became a hit series.

I personally enjoy "Man of Miracles", "Stay Tuned", "Manhood", and "Skindeep" skindeep is hilarious!! Not something you would see John doing though...it's kind of raunchy.

I love all of those movies you listed. I love in Skin Deep when he gets the shock therapy and he can't stop twitching....nobody but John could ever do that scene funnier. It is definitley one of his more raunchy roles though...but it is soooooooo darn funny!!!

Have any of you scene "Unforgivable"? He was brilliant in that movie...he played an abusive husband, I believe this was the movie that he said was hard for him to watch because of the fact that was abusive in this movie and just this horrible person and really had to step out of his box to do it. When saw this I could not believe it was John,it was really a role that until you see it, you couldn't even imagine him doing a role like that but he made it really believable and it is a really good one. That is another one they have not aired on lifetime in a really long time

That's what made him such a good actor. He was very versitle. And speaking of which, in the movie 'Skin Deep', who can forget the unforgetable ( neon glowing scene), I think we all know what I'm referring to here. 'Skin Deep' was a good movie, but not really one of my favorites of his. I'd love to see the made for t.v. movie 'Leave Yesterday Behind'."Unnatral Causes' was a fantasic movie. He really did an outstanding job in that one, even though it was depressing. And 'Letting Go' with Sharon Gless. What a tear jerker movie, but very good.
