Who would want to see a reunion movie? I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been one by now. Why hasn't it happened? Is it because John Stamos is against it? I heard that Full House was supposed to move to the WB for another season or 2, but John Stamos didn't want to do the show anymore so it was cancelled. Is that true?

no it was cancelled because of budget, it cost 1/2 a million dollars and ep and u have u pay 2 setrs of twins and about 9 other cast members, and i agree with u on the move, i think they should do a reunion show as well

I think mabye they could still make a reunion Movie and if John Stamos doesnt want to do it. They can write him out of the Reunion Movie and at least make up an excuse for his absence. I think D.J. and Steve would be married with a child who loved to eat, like Steve. Kimmy would be married to Duane, but Duane would say more than just "whatever" He would actually talk a little more but act very much like Cody on Step by Step. Stephanie would be still single, but looking and a College Graduate. Michelle would be a Senior in High School, and Joey would have moved out and gotten married. I guess in the reunion special, it could mabye be about Stephanie getting married or something.

You know, anything is possible when you look at the Brady Bunch. They ended in 1974. They didn't do a reunion until 1981, and everyone had grown up and was out in college or in the real world. Also, look at Growing Pains, they waited close to 9 years or so to do a reunion. And what about Facts of Life, that waited 13 or so years.

I think this is one of the only shows where fans really want to see a reunion. I would love to see a reunion of this show. They should have had one around 2000 or so. If they keep postponing I doubt we will see one. If they don't do one by 2010, I am guessing it won't happen. Everyone will be too grown up by then.

If it was me, I would have made 2 or 3 reunion movies. One would be in 2000, when Stefanie gets ready to go off to College, DJ marries Steve, and Michelle begins dating. One would be in 2005, when Michelle goes off to College and Vikki returns, and Stefanie is dating a guy who she is serious about, and a final one would be in possibly 2009, when we find out that Stefanie married that guy she was dating, and Michelle graduates college and gets married, as Jesse's twins are finishing up high school.

I think they would all still live in the same house. It wouldn't be called Full House if they didn't. However, I could see Christmas reunions where everyone comes home and Danny gets stuck cleaning the entire house because everyone is messing it up!

I would like to see a reunion movie. But I don't think they should live all together...I think they should come home for Christmas, like the Brady Bunch lol. That way they're happy to see each other and they can recap their own lives to their family instead of just jumping into their daily lives.

But I think since the kids would have been moved out, that Jesse/Rebecca have no reason to stay so they take the kids (they have 3-Nicky, Alex, and a daughter) and find a place of their own in another state. Joey lives in LA doing stand-up in the top night clubs and on his own HBO-style comic show, with his wife of a few years. Danny is married to a woman who has always wanted a big family but could never have kids. DJ is still in San Francisco, but lives across town. She is married to Steve and has 2 kids. He is a wrestling coach and she's a stay at home mom until the kids go off to school. Stephanie is a newly wed, she married a boy she met in college and is a teacher. She's living in Florida and her husband is a marine biologist working in the Atlantic. Michelle is a sophomore in college (Yale) studying medicine, and is in a long-term relationship with a boy...but is having a hard time juggling her time with him and a her homework.

haha That's just off the top of my head...so many different scenarios. That would be if they had a reunion now, but that won't happen. And like I've said before (and the same goes for other shows)...the reunions can happen whenever. It can happen another 10 years down the road...even 20. That just means there might be grandchildren lol

it only would be enjoyable (i think ) if everyone said yes anything else wold be disappointing that show was too much about family values to not have everyone from the cast there and please no more clip style reunion specials
they are very annoying and since full house reruns are on 100 times a day
it would even be more annoying.

the only brady bunch reunion that was a true reunion was THE BRADY GIRLS GET MARRIED the other reunions allways had either MARCIA,CINDY OR JAN played by someone else,

I think it would be a good show for a reunion because the kids have really grown up and it would be intreasting to see where they are now. It would be hard without Jesse though.

I would like to see one too but it's not going to happen because Dave, John and Bob decided they wouldn't like to do a movie. They liked doing the show but Bob said in an interview on Inside Edition couple of months ago when he was shooting a movie that it won't happen. They already get together once in a while for dinner or hanging out. But it was up to the guys not to do it.

i thought of some things of my own.
Well Dj and Steve are married but are going through rough times in there life. stephanie and a boy named Drew Simmons are in love and talk about marrige but not totally sure they love eachother equally. Michelle is about to graduate Highschool and is having butterflies about goin to colledge.(stanford)
Jesse and Rebecca are having another child late in marrige the twins will be 15.Joey is married to a women named Gina.and Danny is getting married again he is nervous, and everytime he goes to sleep he hears Pam telling him to move on, he often dreams she is still alive and he is gonna be cheating on her. even though he was engaged 13 yrs before to Vicky Larson, he is soo close to getting married he is terrified.

I didn't know that John Stamos is the reason why the show got cancelled! What happened?

"Full House" was to move to the then-new (now soon-to-merge with UPN and become the CW) WB network, but John Stamos did not want to do another season (and perhaps Candace Cameron or Jodie Sweetin was also leaving after the 1994-1995 season). This reminds me of why we'll probably never see a "Family Matters" reunion either (because Jaleel White never wants to reprise his Urkel role again).

I think it is best that it didn't move to the WB. I personally think when a show moves to a new network when they were on for so many years it could cause a loss in viewers. Look at what happened when step by step and family matters moved to CBS.

It would be really great if they got together for a SITDOWN reunion, but you guys are talking about a MOVIE.

It sounds easy to just say " oh well stephanie will be looking for a husband, Michelle will be off at college studying, etc.......BUT THATS JUST THE BASICS, and besides, THAT IS HORRIBLY BORING and not UNIQUE.

It takes A LOT of talent to go from one end of totally ending a show, and then all of a sudden TO COME BACK, WITH a fantastic plot that keeps the viewers watching, is real tuff. Even though its real hard to come up with a plot, it would be a lot easier with a movie due to the amount of money going in.

With a Full House Reunion Movie, it just wouldnt work and be entertaining like you think. I would LOVE ANY NEW FULL HOUSE STUFF dont get me wrong, but thats just because im a full house fanatic. Believe me, if the reunion was just the Tanners sitting in their living room the whole time, I WOULD BE AMAZINGLY HAPPY, because im a fanatic.

But anyways, Its really hard to Re-create a FAMILY sitcom, and a good plot, for 2 hours . Hence Growing Pains, it flopped and was a horrible Plot for a movie. The only reason it managed to attract viewers was because most were Old Growing Pains fans.

The only Family sitcom MOVIE i could see drawing older viewers, is Home Improvement, due to the action/storylines that could come about off of Tims Tool Time, and they could make it really great with all the money they have with working on a movie.

With Full House though, I think we would see a sitdown Reunion on ABC, like a special, and that wouldnt be so bad.

I think a "sit down and talk" reunion would be what we'd see, too, but I can see ABC centering it around something. Like, maybe they're waiting for Danny and Vicki's wedding. Or, Jesse and Becky on their 2nd honeymoon and coming back (if John doesn't want to do it, thus explaining his absence) along with that.

That way, it would tell everyone where the family is now rather than just saying, "Weren't those great years," as if nothing had happened in the meantime. That's what annoys me most about "sit down reunions," when they're just film clips. I don't want to just see what people look like, anyone can put together a collage of pictures for that.

DTF955
09-05-2006, 05:49 PM
Here's an example of what I mean:

D.J.: Oh, by the way, when Steve and I go to the game after the wedding, we'll need a babysitter tonight.
Danny: I thought you said Pammy was going to a friend's for a sleepover.
D.J.: Well, let's just say she's grounded with a capital "G."
Stephanie: Yeah, it was sorta like when I crashed the car in the kitchen. I was grounded with a capital G, and about a thousand excalamation points. (Flashback to that scene.)
Jesse: Yeah, 'course you were so scared we'd never love you again, and you ran away. (Flash back to that part of the episode)
D.J.: Yeah, at least Pammy called Steph and asked her what she should do.
Steve: And I handled it just like you, Mr. Tanner. (Flash back to ending talk.)

Thus, they would be talking before Danny and Vicki's big day or whatever, and a lot of the discussion would let them harken back to other times. With mention of things that happened between '95 and then, or things happening at the present. But, there would only be two scenes - the sit-down part and (if desired) the wedding at the end.

It would also, if I had my way (or maybe if a bunch of us wrote in and demanded they do this) talk about things behind the scenes; the older girls raising and disciplining Michelle when Danny wouldn't, how Jesse faked his graduation, that sort of thing.

As of right now Michelle would be like 25, Steph around 30 and DJ around 35 so I think if a reunion movie ever did happen, it should be about Danny retiring from his career at Wake Up San Fransisco with a few side plots. I'm sure most people would like to see one of the girls get married but unless Michelle reconnects with one of her old childhood friends that we've watched on screen and marries him they shouldn't go the wedding route. I'm sure if DJ ended up with Steve they are married by now.

From what I've read on the internet the story about Full House's cancellation was that the WB picked it up for a season 9 but John Stamos wasn't happy about that since WB wasn't an established network at the time so he quit. Candace Cameron also wanted to go to college and her character would have been seen less. Also the Olsen Twins were looking too different so they wanted to only keep one of the twins to save money.

As far as reunions go I've heard Dave, Candace and Jodie say they'd defiently do it. Lori believes it should be left untouched but she'd consider it if it was good. I'm sure the Olsen twins wouldn't be a part of it as Ashley Olsen is done acting and Mary-Kate Olsen has publicly stated she hates her past because she felt like they were trained monkeys. As far as the others, I dont know but I assume the fact Stamos has attemped to relaunch 3 spinoffs means he'd do it.

I'd be perfectly okay with the actress of Michelle being replaced if everyone else was on board. It'd be a little weird but I'm a huge Full House fan so it wouldn't bother me if they had to go that route to find out where the characters are at today.
