does anyone the words to the song that is being played at the end of "wkrp in cincinnati?" i heard that it was the intention of the show that you weren't supposed to understand them. is that true?

Yes, it's true that the lyrics to the closing song are just nonsense--you're not supposed to understand them, because there are no real words.

You can probably get the opening credit theme on one of those theme song CD's (although I don't know where you can get those CD's...). And the closing theme IS just nonsense. It was originally supposed to have words, and they had a cut of it so the producers could get the feel of the singing, and instead of making the song, they just used the cut (or something like that)

"Well, Laverne is sort of childish"

"Childish? Childish? COming from a grown woman who throws tea parties for her stuffed cat!"

"Well at least I don't sew L's on everything I wear!"

"Well that would be pretty stupid considering your name's Shirley!"

Yeah, but I want an MP3 of it anyway! It was, as you kids put it these days, "Rocking"!

LS, are you stalking me? If you are, I suppose that's all right http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Nope, not stalking you. Just doing what I usually do when I find a new website I like, going all the time. I just go around to my favorite shows (Laverne & Shirley, Happy Days, WKRP, Gilligan's Island, and a bunch of others)

I actually think that this is the song:

"She Bops, I Bop, We Bop"

She Bops, and I want to bop with her
She Bops and I want to bop with her all night.
I have a heart breaker, and you are my maker.
I'am all right, and I'am bopping with yaaaa!
