I would like a list of stations that aired WKRP in Syndie I know that In Orlando WCPX (now WKMG) CBS 6 aired it

THE LAST TIME I SAW WKRP IN SYNDICATION IT AIRED ON WJBK IN DETROIT IN THE EARLY 90'S.
IT ALSO AIRED ON WILX CHANNEL 10 JACKSON IN THE EARLY 80'S.
IT AIRED ON WSYM CHANNEL 47 LANSING MID TO LATE 80'S.
IT AIRED ON WKBD CHANNEL 50 DETROIT EARLY TO LATE 80'S.
IT AIRED ON WZZM CHANNEL 13 GRAND RAPIDS EARLY 80'S TO EARLY 90'S.

Sorry--I got mixed up. WWOR aired the new WKRP in the early 90's(the syndicated version). I'm not sure if WKRP was on WNYW though.

VH1 also aired the New WKRP not the original.
WKBN (CBS) in Youngstown, OH aired it in the late 80s, I also believe WOIO in Cleveland aired it.

VH-1 did air the original WKRP for a short period of time before it began airing the new WKRP's. It was so bring new viewers up to speed about the history of WKRP, etc.

WNYW was that channel 5? in New York? I miss that station and WWOR. We only get WPIX 11 now. Anyway, up here in the Capital District (Albany, Schenectady, Troy area) ch. 13 used to carry WKRP in the early to mid 80's it was on at 5pm. It was also on ch 62 (a uhf station) in the late 80's that came on in the late 80's. The picture wasn't too clear, but it was good enough, I could see them and hear the dialogue. I also remember it being on ch 38 WSBK (Boston)after midnight in the early 90's.

In Philly, it was WPHL 17 and then later on WPSG 57. WNYW in New York did air WKRP. I thought that WNBC aired New WKRP in Cincinnati. E! also aired WKRP. I also remember one of the last stations to air reruns was WFTS ABC 28 in Tampa.

Back from 1991-1995, the original WKRP and The All New WKRP aired in Philly on WPSG-TV (Philly 57)!

When WKRP started syndication in 1982, it began on WKBS 48 in Philly. When WKBS shutdown in 1983 it sold a lot of its shows to WPHL, with WKRP included in the bunch.

In Tulsa it was on KOTV 6 (CBS) for av long time.

KDOC in L.A. aired WKRP put dropped it after N@N picked it up.

KDOC airs many great sitcoms but they drop them after a big network picks them up:

Rockford Files
Matlock
The Lucy Show

...and MANY others.

The list of stations that have aired WKRP since 1983 is LONG, so much so I think every station has aired it at least for awhile...boy those were the days huh? I wish I had known was I was a kid that it would be gone and I would have taped ALL of them but here anyway...

WTHR channel 13 in Indianapolis aired it in 1986 at 400
WXIX 19 in Cincinnati aired it in MANY time slots
WRTV 6 in Indy aired it in the late 80's.

These were the days before Judge shows, talk shows, and reality shows took over every time slot

Eric, Indiana is the best state in the world and rules big time. Thats why it was shown so much <G>

Well I dont' agree about Indiana...even though I live here...but you are right on....any state that airs WKRP is great!

In Canada WKRP airs weekday afternoons on the Comedy Channel.:wave:

In Connecticut WKRP aired weekday afternoons on WTWS TV 26 in New London. This was long before PAX-TV owned the station.

in philadelphia, WPHL channel 17 used to show it, back in the 80s. And, before that, WKBS showed it, before the station "went dark".

when The New WKRP in Cincinnati was on it was on early Sunday Mornings at 12:00 am on WDSU NBC 6
