Hey, go to http://www.tvland.com/switchboard/suggest_show.jhtml and vote for Gilligan's Island!!!!!!!!!!!!! 227, Benson, The Jeffersons, and Designing Women were on there and all are coming to TV Land/N@N this year - so maybe if we vote we can get Gilligan's Island on TV Land as well.

Happy voting!

since they are on DVD I don't really care if TV Land picks it up. For people who don't have the DVD's I will vote.

Great! Nothing could be better than having Gilligan come to TV Land in 2007! :D

I have to agree with gf on this. Unless they were shown uncut I wouldn't be able to watch them. And I seriously doubt they'll be uncut. Maybe a petition to show uncut eps would be better.

If it was to come to TV Land, rest assured they would be cut, like every other show of theirs. Actually, it doesn't bother me because I don't know what I'm missing- LOL, guess I should quit being such a tightwad and buy the DVD set sometime soon.

Still, GI cut is better than no GI (to me).

I don't get Hallmark so I don't know about this. Who edited more, Hallmark or TV Land?

It's kind of a toss-up, GF----I think Hallmark did more editing overall, but neither TVLand or Hallmark butchers the episodes as bad as TBS did. TBS routinely chopped about 2.5 minutes off.

yeah, I remember that. TBS is the first place I saw GI and when it came to Nick at Nite, it was so much longer. TBS was a real pain.

I remember being SO excited when I learned GI was coming to Nick@Nite, as it had been ages since they added a 60s show. Did GI move directly from Nick to TVLand (like I Love Lucy, it was on N@N October 14th and TV Land the 15th), or did TVLand pick it up later on, after it had been gone from N@N for a while?

I remember it was on Nick at Nite at very good times and then it moved till like two in the moning Mon-Fri. Then it was on only during the weekends. It was gone for a litte bit, maybe two or three months before it was on TV Land. It came to TV Land in February or late January. I think it left Nick at Nite in September or so.

Feh, all TV shows are edited to make room for commercials. More commericials more $, you know how it is. Petitioning TVLand to air uncut shows is a waste of time, IMO. Since I have the DVDs uncut and commerical-free, I probably wouldn't watch GI on TV anyway (I did watch season three on Hallmark before it was released on DVD though), still it would be nice for the kids who haven't seen GI before to show it on TVLand.

I remember seeing the show when it was origionally on tv. I recall a station out of Norfolk, VA playing it & me being excited I had found it on there. I think Tvland showed it a few yrs back. I'd likve to see it on tv again...
