when I was 11, I had to get rid of my chocolate lab. I loved him. My parents said the dog was too expensive to keep up. even though I took care of it, they didn't want the headache of having a pet around. It's kind of funny, because after i got rid of my dog, my mom bought a parrot! Geeez!

i think it would be hard for anyone.
we had to sell my black lab a few years ago. it was sad. the family that bought her though were really nice. they had a lot of property and stuff for her to run around on and all, and they let us go out and visit her sometimes. it's a lot easier to let go when you know they're going to a nice place though.

When I was six, almost seven years old, my mom, my older sister, and I moved and they didnt allow dogs where we were moving into so we gave our dog Chase to a friend, who later became my mom's boyfriend. It was so hard giving Chase to him, we were able to have her over for at least week to visit. And we went to visit her all the time. She seemed happy at that guys house, he lived on a farm and had another dog. But when my mom and this guy broke up he didnt bother to tell us when Chase passed away. My sister drove out there with her boyfriend to go pick her up and called for her, but Chase never showed up. A friend of my moms is like a medium or something and my mom asked her where our dog was, and all this lady said was "she's a very happy dog, in a very happy place."
