I did some searching in this forum and couldn't find this case mentioned anywhere. I'm almost sure it's because I don't remember firm details as to when, where and names, though (I'm sure it's been discussed before).

Does anyone remember the random shooting(s) of a couple of people, one woman and one man, by a guy who was in a pick up truck and was driving really weird (repeatedly applying his brakes, driving well under the speed limit), then eventually he stopped and got out and shot the woman. If I remember correctly, the same thing happened to this other gentleman around the same time, same area.

Anyone remember this, have any details on it? It sprang to mind today for some reason..

Yes, I recall that segment. It happened in 1988 on a lonely country road in Connecticut. The woman's name was never mentioned but luckily, she survived the shooting....(although the bullet was lodged in the back of her neck and she was hesitant about having surgery to remove it.) There was no reason for this psycho to get out of his truck and shoot her. He never shot a guy though. A guy later came forward saying that he witnessed the same pick up truck taunting other drivers that same morning.

This was a case involving incredibly awful timing. No cars drove by during the shooting yet a ton drove by shortly after it so no witnesses got a good look at the driver....although the victim was able to give a description and a composite drawing was made.

The first time I ever saw this segment, I was 9 years old (back in 1989) and I remember being freaked out every time I saw a black pick up truck because I thought that might be the same guy driving it. Very paranoid little child I was.
