The Jeffersons is a spin-off from All in the Family, in which George (Sherman
Hemsley), Louise (Isabel Sanford) and Lionel Jefferson (Damon Evans) have
moved to a "de-luxe" apartment in the sky-yyy" in Manhattan. George is wealthy and snobbish and owns the successful Jefferson Cleaners. He and Louise, his long-suffering wife, have been married for twenty five years. The series revolves around George, a bigoted, loud-mouthed bully who barks at his wife and maid and struts like a peacock. It features the comic adventures of the couple and their neighbors, the Willises, television’s first interracial couple.

In defense of the Jeffersons, George was on the show all 11 seasons-lol

Let's hope it will make the board come alive. I think that's what it needs a good 48 hour marathon. All In the Family's is this weekend, right? I wasn't on here 3 years ago when Sanford and Son had their marathon. Does anyone know if that board was active when that marathon was going on?

Yes the S&S board was very actiive when it was added to the TV Land schedule in Jan of 2003. So mayb the same will happen for the Jeffersons

Either Good Times or Sanford and Son needs to be replaced by the Jeffersons. Since Good Times only has 4 watchable seasons, i think that is the show that needs to go.

I could see Good Times or Sanford and Son getting out the way for the Jeffersons, I can't see them leaving. Remember, Good Times moved Sanford and Son out the way. S&S must still be going strong since there is a marathon tommorrow. I could see What's Happening Leaving TVLand for the Jeffersons, though.

I think that Whats Happening will get taken off. I don't want it to but if I had to make a guess thats what I'd say. Also I agree that they should take off westerns they have been played way toooo much. I just hope they don't axe Night Court.

When I asked what TV show should the Jeffersons replace, I meant during Primetime, not on Saturday Afternoons. As Much as I would love to see those Westerns off TV LAND, I mainly talking about between 8pm and 12am

This is great news! I am going to enjoy Murphy Brown as well. Are they still planning on airing the Labor Day Jeffersons marathon?

I believe Labor Day marathon will still be The Jeffersons for 72-hours.

This is excellent news. Now I will have some new episodes to watch this weekend while I am recovering from the removal of four wisdom teeth.
