227 (JULY, 2006)
227 - centers around the residents of apartment building No. 227 in Washington, DC. The ladies of 227 enjoy nothing more than sitting on the stoop of their building sharing life's problems with each other and gossiping about the other tenants in the building, especially Sandra (Jackée Harry) the building’s sassy vixen. Mary (Marla Gibbs ) is kept busy by her husband, Lester (Hal Williams) and adolescent daughter Brenda (Regina King), who is struggling with growing up with her boyfriend, Calvin (Curtis Baldwin). Calvin's opinionated grandmother, Pearl (Helen Martin) also resides in the building and often joins in the talks between the two friends whether she is asked to or not.

hopefully with tvland picking it up they will release season 2 on dvd.

This is good since I don't get TV One for some reason. Hopefully it will popular enough to stay on.

Well, in case my local area stops showing 227, at least I'll see it again on TV Land, too. Since N@N dropped this show prematurely a while back.

That's the only part that I am not looking forward to is the editing.

I already brought season 1 of 227 and I still remember the Pee-Wee Herman episode the most. Will they release season 2 on DVD?

"The Great Manhunt" from season 2 had the last scene edited out. Right after Sandra took a glass of water from Mary,it cut right to a commercial and in the closing credits,there was a clip of Sandra laying on a ambulance stretcher.
In the season 4 episode "Looking Back",some of the edited scene was shown except for the part when Sandra was on a stretcher.
I think that this is the only episode of 227 on TV One that has an edit and all of the other episodes on TV One look to be unedited.

You are right. That one was edited. I remember seeing that episode on one of their mini-marathons and noticed that, I forgot about it.
