Angelina Jolie is expecting a baby this summer with Brad Pitt, PEOPLE has confirmed. "Yes, I'm pregnant," Jolie told a charity aid worker in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Monday. The pregnancy has since been confirmed by representatives of both stars.

This is the first biological child for Jolie, 30, who is already the mother of son Maddox, 4, whom she adopted from Cambodia, and daughter Zahara, 1, adopted from Ethiopia in July.

Jolie, who has often spoken about expanding her family, added that she’d like to adopt again. In October she told PEOPLE: "There's something about making a choice, waking up and traveling somewhere and finding your family."

She is currently in the Dominican Republic filming The Good Shepard with Matt Damon. She is also working with Yele Haiti, a charity for the empowerment of Haitian citizens.

Pitt, 42, who recently took steps to adopt Maddox and Zahara, including changing their names to Jolie-Pitt, has talked of wanting a family for years. He has no children from his 4-year marriage to Jennifer Aniston.

More recently, the couple have been spotted all over the globe, including Kenya, England, Ethiopia, Canada, Tokyo and Pakistan, where they spent Thanksgiving.

Jolie has never been happier, say friends. "This is a woman who values her relationships with her children more than anything," a source tells PEOPLE. "Now she is creating a family in the context of an adult relationship."

In July, Pitt accompanied Jolie to Ethiopia, where she completed the adoption process for Zahara.

I am glad for her that she is having a baby. I love to see women who love having children and can provide for them and love them. It's wonderful how she takes them everywhere and she always has them. I never see a nanny around in the pics, I am sure she gets assistance due to travel and stuff, but it's wonderful seeing a mother as busy as her love her kids so much.

Am I the only one who really doesn't care what Jennifer thinks of this? So she's pissed/saddened/happy...who cares?

I'm not Angelina's biggest fan or anything, and for awhile she seemed kind of whorish, but like Irene said, she actually takes her kids with her places! No one in Hollywood seems to do that and that has always annoyed me to no end. And she also seems to have a good level head on her shoulders, in that she actively gets involved in things most of us don't care about. So congrats to her and Brad and Maddox and Zahara.

Jennifer doesn't strike me as the attentive mother type...I hope she never has kids.

Just because they might have kept it on the low down doesn't mean much. They probably were just laying low until the thing with Brad and Jennifer blew over and were not as much in the limelight.

Now I had read many articles on the Brad and Jennifer marriage and from the beginning Brad wanted children. There was even a photo of Brad touching Jennifer's stomach in the wedding.

Jennifer was doing the series Friends and when it came to the 9th year of the show Brad was asking Jennifer so is the time now? She would say wait until the series finishes.

Then the 10th year came and he asked her How about Now? She said let me do some movies because I want to be a movie star.... She kept putting it off. Maybe she was scared. Maybe she was not ready to become a mother. What I'm trying to say is he wanted children from the very beginning and Jennifer didn't want children just yet. He waited. He just got frustrated. Maybe Jennifer didn't listen to him.

I do love Jennifer don't get me wrong she is a beautiful lady but, if your fine looking husband is asking you for some babies then well................

IMO, this will be a beautiful and much loved child. Angelina is gorgeous and Brad is what I call “pretty.”

I was never, ever interested in Brad and Jennifer. Individually, they bore me; together they bored me… a lot. I never understood the media attention.

I’ve seen a snippet of a TV interview with Angelina, where she said she was a “decent woman” who would not damage an existing relationship. She was sincere.

If she and Brad did get together before he and Jennifer split, then it would only have been because he told her his marriage was over. Frankly, I don’t think that they did do the deed before the papers were filed.

Jennifer is an adult. Her marriage failed. She is one of many people who have endured this, and who must move on. She’s going to be seeing and hearing about Brad’s new relationship(s) regardless of who he’s with. I don’t feel any extra sympathy for her, especially since I don’t think that she was cheated on by Brad. The marriage ended. That’s all.

Brad and Jen obviously weren't made for each other or they'd still be together. And I don't care what Scarlett Johannsen or Kate Hudson think...I don't buy that humans are naturally supposed to be bigamists. NEW YORK (AP) - If the two most gorgeous people in the world had a child, what would it look like? Angelina Jolie will answer that question this summer, when the bombshell "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" actress is due to give birth to boyfriend Brad Pitt's baby.

Pitt's publicist, Cindy Guagenti, confirmed to The Associated Press on Wednesday that Jolie is pregnant with Pitt's child. Jolie leaked the news to a charity aid worker while filming the political thriller "The Good Shepherd" in the Dominican Republic on Monday, People magazine reported.

"The eyes will be incredible," he said. "I can't see this ever not working out."
Dr. Stephen Marquardt, who studies human attractiveness and uses math to measure beauty ratios, disagrees, saying gene combinations can produce infinite possibilities, including less attractive results.

Nevertheless, Marquardt said he thinks there's "probably a better chance that you can have pretty kids if you have pretty people."

"I think if you kind of averaged their faces, you'd have a pretty reasonable looking kid," said Marquardt. "She's real exaggerated, he's kind of plain."

I don't think there's much doubt as to whether Brad cheated on Jenn. Any reasonable thinking person can see that. He makes a movie with Angelina, then rumors of an affair start to fly. Brad ends his marriage with Jenn when the movie wraps, moves in with Angelina, adopts her kids and now she's pregnant.

Jenn has stated herself in interviews that she was confused and broken hearted about the entire situation.

With that said, it's water under the bridge. Brad and Angelina and their kids are a family now, and I wish them the best.

But, I'll always think that it was lousy of them, getting together the way they did. I'm glad there were no kids involved with him and Jennifer.

but i think that since Brad did meet Angelina, ending his marraige with Jen was ok. i give him credit for not cheating on her with Angelina, but for ending the marraige and THEN letting it be out in the open about his new relationship. Jen may have been broken hearted, but most people are when they get divorced so i don't think Jen's situation is all that unique.

I misunderstood your answer. I think what happened was that Brad and Angelina fell deeply in love. Once that happened, his marriage to Jenn was doomed. If they hadn't fallen in love, it might have just been a fling.
