First of all I am new to this board so a grand hello to all of the regulars. Second, I watched like five minutes of the new WKRP and found it to be lacking, in paricular no Andy, no Bailey and no Venus....oh the humanity. Anyhoo, my question is this....did the new WKRP ever give any of the above mentioned characters closure? What ever happened to Andy, Bailey, and Venus?

I kind of remember the tiniest bit about the show, and I think that Andy and Venus made guest appearences.

Venus appeared in an episode called "Venus, We Hardly Knew Ya," written and directed by Max Tash (a producer and sometime writer on the original series). He'd taken to using his real name, Gordon Sims, and he'd become an uptight radio executive who'd lost touch with his wild Venus Flytrap roots until he visited WKRP and learned to connect again with his old self.

Andy and Bailey never appeared on the New WKRP. I think it was mentioned that Andy was running some other radio station, and that Bailey was a cable TV executive or something like that.

Only in guest appearances. She appeared in the first or second episode, and then once more in an episode that married her off to a wealthy prince.

in loni anderson's book it said she refused 2 do the show unless all 8 of them did it
