GrassHopper cookies taste exactly the same, and they're in the grocery stores year round.

Well in my retirement life, my job and hobby is Forums it all started out with 1 back in 2005 and over the years I got the "drift".. and now at over 15 yrs later, I'm a member of probably 6-7 forums, some I visit now and then and some more often, but can with truth say 2 including this one, people are very very tough, I guess that's a good word and being kind...that's what I'm thinking.

Thinking about how I got over "treating Mom good one day a yr", my daughter is there already with her adult children, she wants nothing but respect and to do their share around the house as they are all living together now. Treat Mom and Dad and all in your life with good and respect every day. This is missing more than ever it seems. I didn't agree with so much of my parents opinions and their ways, but I didn't disrespect them. Same goes with everyone in my life.

I'm thinking of how the UFO dudes and our government are likely one and the same, and ALWAYS have been, and that we are kept like cattle under the delusion that our society is "free".

Yeah sure, working for 30 years just to pay the bank for a box made of wood and styrofoam, So that we have a safe place for our children to stay when they are not in school being indoctrinated for their turn harnessed into the yolk...what could be more "free" than that?

Thinking about how much life I've experienced in my 82 yrs, and thinking about the "good ole days"...my parent's first house cost them $14K, in the 50's, and here in CA and anywhere in the U.S., one can hardly buy a used auto for $14K. Lots to be said about the good ole days...

Along these lines and I came to CA in mid 60's and talk about Shock of housing costs. Over the years I became friends with a woman who was born and raised in CA and she's 90 now, and her house she and her husband purchased in I think it was the 50's, cost them $34K and when she passes her daughter will inherit that house appraised at over $2M.

Location Location Location, the cost of year round sun and good weather is high.

Thinking how grateful I am in living in such a gorgeous city like San Diego (even though the traffic is horrendous, and it is expensive here).

As I mentioned in a previous post, I drove around Habor Island and saw the stunning San Diego skyline across from the San Diego Bay with the Coronado Bridge in the background.

Also, thinking how much I love it when the Jaracanda Trees bloom this time of year, adding a touch of purple.

The Jacaranda trees are outstanding. I live in Santa Monica and the street I live on has a long grassy island and Jacarandas grow there. Since my walking is so difficult, I so miss the beauty around here I enjoyed for years, walking to the beach from my apt, walking to the park overlooking the Pacific. Yes, housing costs are a huge challenge but thank goodness for the benefits. Thanking my ex for bringing us here in the 60's, and how I kicked and resisted.

What is on my mind now is 2 hrs of Moth Radio Hours on NPR on Saturday nights. Real human interest stories by great story tellers. Each hour has 4 story presenters.

How my thyroid support meds have risen in costs, out of sight. Katie Porter a politician has called out the pharma company that is producing it and is gouging the people. What I take has been a great support since 2002 and I know how important this is. Many could have so many issues and often it's a sluggish thyroid. Just sayin.
