The 1st DVD will be released 2 Weeks from today. The more I think about this show, the better it seems. So I'm really looking forward to watching the “complete” 1st season.:)
Repeating what I read on another page, it’s important to buy a DVD (GP is $23!!!) soon after it comes out to send a message to the studio that we like the show a lot; so they'll put out the 2nd Season. Because the only thing better than this 1st season is the 2nd(The Goofy Glue Incident, etc).
We should all help promote this DVD by posting reviews in places like www.Amazon.com and www.imdb.com (Internet movie Database)-this was my favorite site already, then I found out it has TV shows too. The page for GP is at http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0088527/

I just posted my review there. My username is GoTheDistance.

Note: The rare bad reviews of TV shows on IMDB are Mind-blowingly absurd! I’ve read MANY movie reviews before, but nothing like this. It's depressing until you realize, these people are nuts, putting down an easy, common target: TV, like they're too good for it. But it's common to go overboard putting something down that other people like a lot. And the more popular something is, the more putdowns there are(ex: Friends). It gives the show more credibility as a BIG show that was original and got attention.
But don't give attention to the bad reviews - we don't want readers focusing on that.[Update: I was able to get a review deleted - it insulted members of the cast. So clicking "report this" can work. ]

[Update: no one has posted a review since me. Take pride in your good taste.]

On Amazon’s TV-DVD main page http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/163450/ref=gw_br_tv/104-5235604-2574354, near the bottom, it reads:
DVD is the best way to watch your favorite shows, and the good news is that studios have really ramped up their TV-related DVD releases. To help you keep up, we've created a list of TV shows coming to DVD, including these highly anticipated titles:

· Growing Pains: The Complete First Season (February 7)
· Grey's Anatomy: Season 1 (February 14)
· Charmed: The Complete Fourth Season (February 28)
I wonder if they mean it when they say “highly anticipated” or is it just marketing.
