I do that alot! I can't tell you how many times I watch The Godfather on television, even though I have it. Same thing with Saturday Night Fever. I have a friend that does this too.

Yeah, I do that, too. A month ago "It's a Wonderful Life" came on CBC and I have the DVD, but I watched it for a little while on tv, anyway until the commercials came on and then I switched the channel. I don't know why. Just whenever a fave film of mine is on I watch it.

I do that all the time! Although watching the movie on video or DVD is always better, it's good to watch it on TV if you get lazy. :p

Funny you asked, because I do that a lot with my movies. For example, the movie "Just One Of the Guys" from '85 was on yesterday, I got the tape, but it was on and I never get tired of watching it.

Yes, but only if I am bored and there's nothing else on TV. In fact, "Poltergeist I" was on yesterday on the Sci-Fi channel, so I watched it.... I already have it on VHS.

I'll usually just switch back and forth between channels, and try to catch all my favorite parts. I rarely ever sit through the whole thing though.

My father does that all the time! He's got Goodfellas on DVD, but he'll normally watch it on TV, when it's edited. The best part is the swearing and the violence, duh.

OMG, I do it all the time!! I just watched the 1st Austin Powers the other day on TBS and I have it on VHS.

I have Godfather I & II and Saturday Night Fever on VHS, too. If I see Godfather is on TV, I put it on as 'filler' and start doing things around the house. I'll still watch SNF even though I hate how they slice it up. Same for 'Smokey & the Bandit'!!
