Is WKRP on anywhere in the country other than TNN. Just curious; it will give me an idea on what the tv search engine I use doesnt cover.

The Comedy Network in Canada is airing KRP at 10:30a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Eastern Time.

Until I moved, at the end of April, they were airing purely edited versions with no original music at all. The episodes also seemed to have been badly shortened to facilitate more commercials.

Check out their schedule at: http://www.comedynetwork.ca/prog.asp

Re the Comedy Network

No. The music on the Comedy Network is exactly the same as on TNN -- which means that it has a lot of music changes in seasons 1 and 2, some music changes in season 3, and nearly all the original music in season 4.

The episodes also seemed to have been badly shortened to facilitate more commercials.

No. The Comedy Network (unlike American channels) doesn't cut shows to fit in more commercials. Most of the WKRP episodes on the Comedy Network ran 24 to 25 minutes -- the original lengths. But there were 15 or so episodes for which the complete versions were unavailable, so the distributor sent them cut versions instead. So the Comedy Network had to show "Daydreams" without Bailey's daydream (darn), but 75 out of 90 episodes were uncut in length.
