Did Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli look better with the beard or without?

Call me crazy, but I preferred the episodes where he *didn't* have a beard.

I can't recall ever seeing Fonzie with a beard.

I can't remember the episode title, but it was when he went to Italy and he came back with a beard. I didn't care for the beard at all.

If I'm not mistaken, it was the episodes where he was teaching 'auto class' that he had the beard. I didn't like it. I like the 'clean cut shave'.

He had the beard in "Live and Learn."

I didn't like it when he had a beard. I am glad that he shaved it off.

I think the writers were doing anything to water down Fonzie's character. No I didn't like the beard either.

beard was cool . showed that the fonz was human and a man. maybe he wasn't going to wear it forever but every guy should grow a beard once in their lifetime. In that particular episode fonzie came back from Italy and had trouble to translate "razor" in Italian. Therefore, he didn't shave. I am also quite sure the character didn,t have any problem with the girls it as it was Europe in the early 60's. He still the Fonz! Beard , no beard ...ducktail, long hair...leather jacket...tux.
Question : how do you think the Fonz would look in 2006?
