We all know that when Michael was younger, everything that came out of his mouth was black. One intelligent thing I like what he said that made sense, and it is still a problem in the country today was when he told Mad Dog that, "You brothers shouldn't be fighting one another. Ain't ya'll ever heard of black unity?" Michael hit it on the money with that line. Too bad stupid ass Mad Dog wouldn't listen to him.

Now the most ignorant thing I think Michael said was when Florida asked him what kind of Ice Cream he wanted. He said chocolate. Only because he liked the black race, not because he liked the ice cream better. Michael went a little overboard right there.

Let me just explain that I am black myself, and I like vanilla ice cream better than chocolate, so that was ridiculous on his part.

Yes he was racist. He had serious issues withwhites while he was younger. When he got a little older, he was a little more open to whites.

He wouldn't have never wanted to move in with that white girl (Nancy Morgan) when he was younger. BTW, Michael was more militant than racist.

So stupid for the writers to have him say this. No reason for it at all. Michael could have asked "why?" instead of saying that. It made him look more stupid when Edgar replied with the other workers being fired cuz they are white...:mad: :crazy:

I don't think that Michael thought that black people were more better then white people. I think that he saw the struggle that his people had been through and the 60's and 70's weren't all peaches and strawberries for black people. So I can see why he looked out and stood up for his race. But some of the things that the writer would have Mike say weren't call for.

Those two agents are investigating a bank robbery. That would be like asking Joe Detective "Are you looking for the person who killed O.J's ex-wife?" (it's irrelevant because we know OJ did it and besides, not all detectives handle ALL THE CRIME IN THEIR AREA. They are assigned certain matters)
WTF!!! I mean, those two guys are doing their job on one matter and shouldn't be held accountable for answering a question like that. I hated that the writers used a "child" to ask questions on a sitcom that shouldn't have been said. Reminds me of Kanye West. This episode dealing with a bank robbery COMMITTED BY FLO'S NEPHEW is not a forum to ask a personal question like that. Michael was so smart (and smart ass) why didn't he write the FBI & the Govt????

Another one had to do with the guy (the MAN, I guess), pulling off something sneaky when James was interviewing for the job but they wanted to give it to Florida.

Another had something to do with a school official and Michael's college prospects. My memory is vague on that.

It could just be the shows I've seen and not a pattern, but I've definitely noticed it.

On All In The Family, Archie was portrayed as the buffoon and bigot. He was the one who was made a fool of by everyone, especially black people.

I can understand why Michael would ask the question. At the time Michael and others didn't think that it was Cleatus in the picture and they didn't think that Cleatus would rob a bank. And since Cleatus was in a so called civil rights group and a civil rights activist the FBI back then weren't too keen on those kinda groups. And since Medgar Evers was a Civil rights activist and had been gunned down in his own driveway, No one was looking for his killer. And I think that Michael was kinda pissed because the FBI were looking for his cousin, who he didn't think robbed the bank (At the time) when they could have been looking for the guy who killed Medgar Evers.
