earlier I was talking to a friend of mine who loves Three's Company, but yet she thinks Suzanne Somers is extremely tacky

So it led me to pose the question here... what celebrities do you think are tacky?

my vote goes to Rosie O'Donnell, I liked her back int he day, but she started getting really tacky when her talk show started, and she's even worse today. Especially with her blog.

Gee Rosie, I bet it stings that fellow lesbian Ellen DeGeneres does the same talk show ten times better.

So many tacky celebrities, so little time.

Any celebrity who gets political at inappropriate times, i.e. Kanye West at the benefit to aid Katrina victims.

Alec Baldwin. I always thought he was a good actor, but when I see him on shows, he's so bitter about politics, that his face has a constant scowl. Real sourpuss.

That football player who did nothing but whine and whine...TO or whatever. What a pain in the ass.

The drama kings and queens who are always in trouble...Courtney Love, some rappers that I don't know their names.

It's late, I'll have to think more on this.

Ellen is smart. Unless I missed it, she's not a Bush basher. Everytime I see her, she's upbeat and pleasant. Who wants to watch negativity on a daytime talk show. Ellen gets it. She's not out to alienate half her audience.

I saw her on stage. She was hilarious.

funny thing is, Tom Selleck was just on Ellen's show a few days ago and it was a lovefest between the two of those... as opposed to when he did Rosie and they basically fought on camera for 15 minutes. The Tom Selleck thing was when I began thinking the lesbian rumors about Rosie were true, because what heterosexual woman Rosie's age did not have a crush on Magnum P.I. back in the day and would still be happy to be in the same room with him? Even my mom was married and older than Selleck and thought he was good looking then.

Ellen does a great job, she keeps politics out of her act, and even though she overdid the "lesbian" thing in the late 90's, she's really toned it down and has gone back to just being a happy-go-lucky and funny woman

Tom Cruise. I hate him so much I'll cheer when he dies.

And Katie Holmes...cuz she's such a moron it disgusts me.

I *think*, and you would know this, that the gay community was sort of PO'd at Ellen for not becoming a gay rights activist or speaking out more. I sort of recall reading that.

In any case, all seems to be going great for her both professionally and personally. She seems like such a nice genuine person. What you see of her on tv is probably the way she is in real life.

though I do like Madonna a lot, ENOUGH WITH THE KABALLAH CRAP!!!! It was kinda interesting when she first mentioned it in interviews several years back because it looked like a new thing she was interested in, but now it's all Kaballah this/Kaballah that for the past eight years.... one of the reasons her new cd is doing well is because she purposely cut out the Kaballah stuff this time because she's finally getting the hint that not everyone is going to convert just because she's into it. Roseanne has been into Kaballah since when her show was still on, and except for one mere mention of it in an episode when discussing different religions of the world, that's been about it. She recently did a kids video, and it's all just fun stuff for families to watch with no Kaballah overtones (unless there's some hidden Kaballah text in "No Monsters Allowed", lol), while Madonna's childrens books for the most part have been nothing more than Kaballah propagandha.

Tom Cruise...ugh, just because you're a scientologist doesn't mean the rest of the world is. There are lots of other celebrities who believe just like he does and do not make a whole parade about it.

I never really noticed it with Ellen, but I remember a lot of gays and lesbians were pissed at Rosie for coming out... AFTER attacking Ellen for being "too gay" when Rosie then ended up becoming known as a bigger loud-mouthed lesbian than Ellen ever was. Ellen really went all out on the gay issue on her sitcom after she came out of the closet, so much that a lot of gays were even turned off. Every episode of her sitcom became "Ellen comes out... to the pharmacist", etc... For a few years, she was really the posterchild for "gay" and it hurt her because her show stopped being funny and started being all about her orientation (as opposed to balancing it out like Will And Grace did). But I think she's learned her lesson, she makes no bones about being a lesbian, but she's really gone back to her old sense of humor instead of being "Hi, I'm Ellen Degeneres and I'm gay". I also think the backlash of her relationship with Anne Heche has also kept her and her relationship with Portia De Rossi (from Ally McBeal and Arrested Development) more low-key.

lol, I am dying to hear the excuse Ricky's going to make after the pictures surfaced recently with him and another guy basically ogling each other on a secluded beach came out. At this point in Ricky's career, I don't think coming out would hurt that much, the days of Livin' La Vida Loca are long behind him, his last cd didn't even top out at 300,000 copies.

I can't think of very much, besides current celebs. I hate 'em all anyway. And even though I think they are tacky, they have done a lot of hard work to get to where they are (e.g. Olsen twits) now. Okay, maybe that was a bad example.

I guess it would be Anna Nicole Smith and Christopher Knight. ANS...She has always been annoying and tacky, always will be annoying and tacky. :cuss:

Christopher Knight? He pretty much disappeared from the acting world after he did A Brady Christmas in 1988, and I read from several sources that he said he didn't want to have anything to do with show biz. The only things he really did were cameos (not guest appearances) in the 90's, and that didn't count. Guess what..Yep, back on screen with that Adrienne gal or whatever her name is...BIG ****ING WHOOPEEDOO. Do me a favor and fall off the face of the earth, fugly bastard, plsthxbi.

I agree with him. When I first saw Chris on Surreal Life, I was all "wow, he looks really cute and good for his age", but the more I saw of him, the more I disliked him. Plus, he seems to be a pretty crude person. Actually, the night his own reality show premiered, and the Danny Bonaduce one to follow came on, I mentioned to a friend that I hated the Bonaduce one, and she said "I actually like him more than Christopher Knight... and that's not saying much", lol

And you know what else? Chris is about a year younger than my mom. And then that Adrienne gal? SHE IS THE SAME ****ING AGE AS MY SISTER. That alone is enough to make me become violently ill all over myself. That's not right, Chris could have raised Adrienne as his own daughter. :barf: :barf: :barf: YUCK!!!!!!! Chris, pls go date somebody born in the 1950's, not 1982, you sick bastard. I would rather see Ron Jeremy on TV over Chris.

surely there aren't older celebrities you wouldn't go out with if given the chance? Peter Reckell on Days Of Our Lives is 50 and if he had any interest in going out with me, I'd go for him, same applies with James Denton (43 in a few weeks), Billy Warlock (44), Matthew Ashford (45) and Richard Burgi (47)... all of which could've at least fathered me in their teen years if not older. Adrienne is just living the fantasy some of us only dream of. I'm sure if an older actor you had the hots for asked you out, you wouldn't turn him down either ;)

This man (Peter Reckell) is 50 and I would certainly say yes if he ever asked me out, haha

it has to be remembered though, that almost anything Madonna says or does, is instant news to journalists, papers, paparazzi...she doesn't seek people out to talk abt Kaballah. They approach her for interviews and THEY ASK HER ABT KABALLAH. She can refuse to talk abt it, but it's something she really is into and something she lives with 24/7. It's kinda like when people have children, if someone asks how is your son/daughter or how is your baby, they will talk your ears off. But they don't go around asking people "do you want to hear abt my baby?". Madonna could suddenly start wearing nothing but black and that will be news to alot of the journalists. Forget there is a war going on, forget there is high gas prices, "Madonna is wearing nothing but black??!!!" OMG, let's interview her and ask her.
