Before some DVD even releases, how come there are some people still selling a certain DVD online.....like for ebay, for example.
Like for Christmas my parents told me the "Red Eye" DVD was coming out January 10 and since I like that movie they'd get it for me when it releases mid January. And I was just looking on ebay for something and while I was there I looked up Red Eye just to see if some people were already selling it (cause some people somehow do when the DVD hasn't even released yet).

So how do some people get it and sell it before the DVD even releases?

Most of them are probably selling it and then they'll send it to you when it comes out. Preordering. Some people, I dunno, maybe they're like our guys here that review DVDs and they get them early.

Indeed, most of the time it's a preorder.

The one thing you have to watch out for is people selling the Asian version of the DVD's-- without the same extras, etc. Depending on the DVD, these might sometimes be available before the American versions, and the quality is generally less.

Maybe they're bootlegs. :p
