I have a radio that has a CD player and a Cassette Player in it, so I took a blank tape, pressed record ,and put the radio on 101.5 Lite FM.:p :) I decided to let the tape record on Free Run(which means that I will let the tape record whatever song 101.5 Lite FM plays until the tape stops recording. In doing this, the tape picked up George Benson's On Broadway!:) :D I love that song!:D I hadn't listened to the tape for a long, long time, because I had Janet Jackson's Control CD recorded on one side of the tape and five songs from Janet Jackson's Velvet Rope CD, and would only listen to those 14 songs from janet. I decided to listen to the rest of the tape, the one that had "free run" songs on it. I was delighted to hear On Broadway, and I keep playing that song!:) . I have a confession to make.:o Whenever I hear that song, I think of the Cosby Show's 6-7th opening where they are dancing in fronmt of the Apollo building!:o ;)(the one where Cliff is wearing a tux, Martin is in the opening, Rudy is wearing a purple dress, Theo is wearing dance shoes, and they are dancing on a shiny black floor) Watching the 6-7th opening of the show, I originally thought, "They are dancing in front of the Broadway Building." I later found out it was the Apollo Building.:o I was thinking, "That's NOT the Broadway building?" But, I still think of the Cosby opening everytime I hear On Broadway. To me, I like to think they are dancing in front of the Broadway building(even though I know they are dancing in front of the Apollo building.);)

His version isn't bad - in some ways it's better than the Drifters's - but I never understood why Benson always has to scat chant in the style of a guitar when he really can play that there guitar!
