well, singles aren't as viable in the US as in the UK, even though IMO that is all the fault of the greed of the record labels. In the UK, singles and album sales co-exist without any problem because the labels don't take the same advantage there, and the funny thing is, album sales in the UK are at a high while they're doing poorly here.

Don't blame Michael, blame Sony, and Universal, and all the other labels who decided people "must pay" $18.99 for a cd with one good song on it instead of just letting them have a $2.99 single.

Visionary - The Video Singles is a box set by Michael Jackson set for release in 2006.

Each week over a 5 month period Sony BMG will release 20 of Michael Jackson's biggest hit singles. Each single will be issued as a DualDisc allowing not only his most popular singles to be collected but also their accompanying music videos.

Michael Jackson worked on the "Visionary" project as Executive Producer, giving final approval on the music and video editing and packaging design.

The first CD single to be released as part of the "Visionary" box set is Jackson's 1983 hit, "Thriller". It will be released along with the collector's box on February 20, 2006.

Each DualDisc single, featuring a standard CD format on one side and a DVD format on the other, will be eligable to chart as they will be release individually as regular music singles.

It will be the 4th consecutive "Greatest Hits" collection by Michael Jackson which Sony has released since 2003 and will be the second consecutive Michael Jackson collection to be released with no new material.

I've got no idea if Michael Jackson's "Visionary" boxed set will be out in the US by next month. Who knows?:rolleyes: I still like Michael Jackson.
