I currently have the dish network and they have dropped the lifetime tv network and LMN because of a rate increase this makes me very  I am seriously thinking about going back to cable television as they do have lifetime. Dish network sucks

I don't blame you for being mad. We had considered changing from cable to dish several months ago but when I saw they didn't have Lifetime I said no way. I need my UM, lol!

I would like to go back to cable but cable is so darn expensive, can't afford it. I want my Lifetime back!

They dropped Lifetime from Dish Network programming? Oh, my mom is gonna be pissed.... she "Lifetimes" it every weekend! (Basically, that means she watches all the Lifetime movies on the weekend...)

Is there a way that you DISH users can rally together and convince Dish Network to bring Lifetime back?

The Dishnetwork is currently in negotations with the company who provides lifetime tv and LMN over a rate increase because dish refuses to increase rates on their customers over this one channel  I for one dont care to pay alittle extra because I love lifetime and UM and I will go back to cable if necessary.

Well Lifetime wanted an increase of over 70%. Because Dish and Lifetime couldn't come to an agreement, Dish Network is legally prohibited from showing any Lifetime and LMN programming.

Sucks but you have no idea how many networks increase their rates at every contract renewal. Most by a small percentage. Other morons like Lifetime go to the extreme. Remember the Outdoor channel? Well they were dropped from Dish Network because they too wanted an 85% or so increase and refused any deals.

Off topic, but a possible bigger problem facing cable and satellite companies is congresses idea of introducing a pay-per-channel type of system where you would only pay for the channels YOU WANT. I'm all for that!

I blame the people at Lifetime more than anything else. At least I have my memories. If you call Dish Networks they give an email address where you can send your concerns too. Unless Lifetime bends on this ridiculous proposal, they will be gone for good.

This happened 2 years ago when the Viacom owned channels, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick@Nite, TVLand, Vh1, Comedy Central got pulled off the air for like 2 weeks bc of rate increases that Dish didn't want to pay. It caused major anger and many people switched to DirecTV. I switched due to other reasons, but I'm glad I did.
