Out of respect for the original show, they shouldn't remake it especially if they're not going to try and make it good.

sigh, another one of my favortie shows destroyed by the big screen. You can make shows off movies (M*A*S*H & The Odd Couple), but don't do it the other way.

I was just kidding. I like the Munsters a thousand times better than The Addams Family. I don't like it but it's not that bad.

They've already tried with The Munsters Today, which stunk and was an insult to the original. They tried two more times with Here Come The Munsters and The Munsters Scary Little Christmas, how many more remakes do we need? Here Come The Munsters was pretty good better than Scary Little Christmas.

I think that the problem with re-doing The Munsters is this: The Munster family is really fairly ordinary. They just look odd. The storylines are regular family "stuff" in the same way that Leave It To Beaver was. In fact, the two shows were created by the same person(s).

What made the TV show so good was the chemistry between the three major characters/ACTORS. They played off each other well, and added the special "something" that made The Munsters different from Beaver.

The Addams Family, on the other hand, is about an odd family. They have a very odd outlook on things in general. This can (and did) lead to more creativity in a film version.

The Munsters on film will be like watching any family, with a few oddities (which all families have). The only way to make this interesting will be to make a spoofy slapsticky type of film. Ugh!
