I think the Street reached its golden age in the
1970s
they were in colour by then
ena sharples elsie tanner ken barlow etc were
the mainstay of the cast
ray langton and deidre barlow were the attractive young
couple making a home in the street.
Len Fairclough was still a good looking guy... a smooth
operator with the ladies
There was a good mix of young and old.
Today Cora is still popular but ... like Disney it has a
corporate feel......... its a sausage factory.... a production line
Theres no meaning anymore just the 50,000 or whatever they get
for each episode.
Anyway heres a few pics of Cora as it was in the early 1970s
