Yeah. Um. What themes from previous seasons do you want to see back on AI5?

I would like:

Movie night back (AI3 movie night rocked)
Billboard #1 night (Awesome songs + Awesome performances= Top 11 night of AI4 was the best AI night in history)
Birth Year (hey, it was kinda cool though the night itself sucked)
Disco (Discos...70s dance...same thing. Disco night seemed to rock in all of the 3 seasons it was done for.)
Big Band (lol I dont know)
2000+ (only decade theme I liked. The contestants sang current songs which was good)
Top 40 (same as 2000+)

Yeah.

I didn't really miss the Motown/Soul themes last year cause they were so overdone.

And with people themes...I was never a huge fan of those (unless it was a writers theme) because singers have their own styles and often their songs were hard to sing. Like Elton John night of AI3. EVERYONE (with MAYBE the exception of LaToya and Jennifer. Jasmine was alright too), sucked really badly that night because Elton songs are hard to sing and can rarely be re-done.

So yeah.

And please. NO MORE DECADE THEMES!!!

Disco is always great fun. ALWAYS.

I love Movie Night -- it's always great because you know most of the songs. AI2's movie night was just magical, especially the results show. it was a shame that AI3 didn't have a group song that results show night.

Individual artists are good depending on who it is. Elton John & Gloria Estefan were both disastrous choices. On the other hand, Burt Bacharach, Bee Gees, Neil Sedaka, and BARRY MANILOW(!!) were fantastic choices, and almost everybody did great on those nights.

Decades are usually okay with me because it's not too limited. 60's worked great for Season 2, but horribly for Season 4. Usually they work well though -- [Season 1: 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s night were all great]

Big Band is a must. It's always fun seeing them do that and show versatility.

And of course, Billboard #1 night, because considering that they hit #1, they should be good song choices.

Yeah I agree. If there's no disco night this season...that's just...wrong. EVERYONE usually does well on Disco night and if they dont its a fun performance anyway. Last year's disco night was really fun I thought.

I chose...

- Disco/70s Dance: It's a really fun theme and everyone usually does well on those types of songs.
- Birth Year: It's interesting, but it only really works for people if they choose the right song, hands down.
- Billboard #1's: It's tradition dudeeeee....
- Decades: Well, I had fun doing it on Idolized!
- 2000's/current music: Just something that most AI viewers can relate to
- Top 40
- Motown
- Movies: What can I say? I work at a movie theater. ;)
- Producer/Writer themes: It worked pretty well last season with Leiber/Stoller.
- Musicals: But ONLY if someone sings something from Rent this season! ;)
