Ally McBeal used to have some wonderful Christmas episodes.

Wings had a good one where Fay and Helen are planning a Christmas party for kids in the airport. Meanwhile, Antonio gets together with Lowell's ex-wife Bunny.

I always liked two Married with Children Christmas episodes, the one where the skydiving Santa was supposed to land (with parachute) at the mall but landed (sans parachute) in the Bundys' backyard, and the two-parter with Sam Kinison as Al's guardian angel ("You know, I'm supposed to provide you with a reason to live, but... I just can't think of one darn reason!" or something to that effect).

Also That 70s Show, An Eric Forman Christmas. ("We come bearing gifts of gold, frankincense, and Led Zeppelin IV" and "Kelso, I swear if you say space Santa, I will kick you in the head!" are two lines that just deserve to be quotable more than one month out of the year.)

Finally, can't forget the Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire. How many shows can say their pilot stands up favorably against, and is probably responsible for, 350+ quality and humorous episodes, especially since it's a Christmas ep? Didn't think so.

Do I think too much of series that aired on Fox? Probably. Am I worried? No. Merry Christmas, everyone!

My very favourite is Guess Who's Coming to Christmas - Happy Days (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=12). For straight LOL comedy nothing beats the Married with Children (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=84) episodes. On the dark side, 70s crime dramas How Cruel the Frost, How Bright the Stars - Kojak (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=575) and Little Girl Lost - Starsky & Hutch (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=556).

Eight Is Enough - The two-parter abt the man (Will Geer) who stole the Xmas gifts...also Tommy was dealing with the loss of his mother since it was their first Xmas without their mother (due to the death of Diana Hyland). Very emotional ending. I love it.

Waltons - A day of infamy...Mary Ellen is dealing with the question of whether her husband Curt is alive or dead since he was at Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked. It's Xmas time and the family is trying to deal with the planning of Xmas while wondering whether Curt is ok or not. Sad to say, his character was in fact killed at Pearl Harbor.

My favorite is the Dick Van Dyke show's Christmas episode, where the whole cast performs in an episode of the "Alan Brady show."

I remember watching that one on Nick at Nite one year, early Christmas morning/late Christmas eve, too excited to sleep... It was awesome. ;)

"Happy Days": The two I like best are 'Guess Who's Coming to Christmas'
(1974) and 'Christmas Time' (1978). "Mork and Mindy": the 1978 episode, which was their only one. "Married...with Children": 1987, 'It's a Bunydful Life,' and 1996.
'M*A*S*H': the 1972 and 1980 shows are the best.

Wings-All the Christmas Episodes

Same here, especially 'A Terminal Christmas', where they all show up at Fay's house. I love the scene where they're having 'Christmas dinner'.

Frasier--I don't know the titles but I think it's the 1st Christmas episode they did where Frasier & Niles had to go to the mall for Frederick's gifts. And the episode where Frasier & Martin have a big fight and Frasier ends up at a diner. And the third is one that I think is called "Perspectives of Christmas"(?) where they're all telling their stories to the masseuse.

My favorite is from Big Brother Jake (1990-1994). Jake and the gang were suppose to spend Christmas on a ship, but they got sick and had to stay home. All of their presents were sent to the ship ahead of time so one of Jake's friends, Gary, had to buy them gifts at a gas station. They got stuff like straws and napkins.

no, that ILL episode wasn't shot in color, because I remember seeing it YEARS ago, when CBS showed it for the first time since its original broadcast.

Sometime over the years, though, it's been colorized.
