Ghostbuster 1 or Ghostbusters 2 which one did you like the best?

I chose the 1st movie.

However, I just wanted to say that I was first introduced to the Ghostbusters, through the cartoon series. I knew that a movie existed, but it wasn't until the sequel came out that I went back and watched the first one on TV. So I have fond memories of the second movie and seeing it at the theater with my parents and older sister.

But now, that I have both on DVD, the first one is definately better.

The first one had the Marshmallow man. That's the one I like better.
II was okay, but, the first one was better.

I dont really like either but I had to pick 1 on the poll so I picked THE FIRST MOVIE...

I guess Bill Murray being in it made it OK but it was nothing special to me...

They all have the problem of either being too similar or too different from the original. While I like them all to a greater or lesser degree (except the one with the women): - Ghostbusters II: Having them retire only to reunite was a terrible idea because it wastes screen time, not to mention Jack Hardenmayer's character, who is exactly the same as Walter Peck. - Ghostbusters (2016): Too different, it doesn't understand the humor of the originals and is a pretty bad movie overall. Ghostbusters: Afterlife: It's a sentimental movie and I like it, but it's too safe. It overuses fanservice, bringing back everything that made the original good even if it doesn't make sense... Gozer had already been defeated, and in a more epic way. - Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire: This one has the problem of having too many characters, and as a result, none of them stand out.

I dont think the original movie was all that good...
