Every time I watch this episode with Christopher George and the Danger O'Reilly character; I'm convinced that the ending has been edited.

When I watched this episode as a kid, I found (what I recall as) its original ending unpleasant.

The way the episode now stands, George the warlock explains to Endora that he has been unable to win over Samantha because "Let's face it, his(Darren's own "black magic") was stronger than mine". The show then ends with a very quick edit back to Sam and Darrin kissing over dinner in their home prior to the credits being rolled.

I could swear that; originally, after George the warlock makes the comment about Darrin's "black magic", viewers were shown the "Danger O'Reilly" character as a new member of his harem along with comments by the warlock to the effect that she's his consolation prize. Since she appears to be under a spell, my then 10 year old self didn't like the idea that she would be held against her will in this fashion. It gave me the creeps then and still would today.

I wonder if such an impression on a sufficient number of viewers led to the apparent editing of this show.
Anybody have any similar recollections?
Thnx and the best to all of you in this holiday season

In looking at the DVd, it DID look like Danger O'Reilly was one of his harem in the end. He may not have caught Samantha but he did catch the eye of a sexy neighbor, leaving Darrin alone.

Didn't he also tell Danger that he was a Warlock?

...when he wrote that ending to "George The Warlock". It's obvious "Danger" O'Riley has more than mere affection for George....and that she's willing to follow him WHEREVER he goes, no matter what he appears to be!!! If she IS amongst George's "harem", so be it. I don't think she was "under his spell". Obviously, "Danger" DOESN'T MIND sharing his affections with other women! Besides, what did WE know about HER "past"? Like George, there's more to "her" than meets the eye! The rest is up to the imagination of the viewer...and yourself!
