View Full Version : You've Got Mail!
Janice 12-23-2005, 02:15 PM I love getting mail. Always have. It's usually bills or junk, but this time of year, I think it's exciting to open the mailbox.
Up until a month ago, we got our mail at noon. Now it's 3:00.
Our mailman, Paul, is a nice guy. We get a lot of deliveries that need a signature, and he walks up a huge flight of stairs.
I gave him a nice Christmas gift. present:
I Love Carol Burnett! 12-23-2005, 02:47 PM OMG!! Me too!! I love getting mail!!! Especially if it's an autograph picture!! Getting the mail is the one highlight of my day LOL
Today i recieved my copy of "Entertainment Weekly," which is a relief, becasue i haven't read anything about Jennifer Aniston's broken heart in two or three days.
;)
Karen* 12-23-2005, 04:14 PM I love receiving snail mail more than email. I'm so old-fashioned. :p But lately, all I've been getting is mail from colleges that I'm not even thinking about applying to.
PZelda 12-23-2005, 04:26 PM I love getting mail, but not if it's from school, bills or junk mail (I seem to get a lot of junk mail :cuss:). However, the one thing I love seeing in my mailbox (besides my magazines) is a large brown manila envelope OR a key in my mailbox to open up the bigger mailbox, because that usually means I got an autographed pic. :D

That's definitely the best thing to see in the mailbox! :D
Tuesday Weld 12-23-2005, 05:07 PM I love getting postal mail from friends, it sure beats email and is so much more personal. :happyface :D
dawsongirl 12-24-2005, 01:13 AM I love both...I actually love mailing things too. Blame that on ebay and the new APCs at the post office.
TVFactFan 12-24-2005, 01:53 AM Does anyone know if there is mail tomorrow?
Jonathan 12-24-2005, 01:55 AM I love getting mail.
TVFactFan 12-24-2005, 02:00 AM I love coming home from work or coming downstairs on a Saturday Morning and seeing 3 packages jammed inside my mailbox which can be VHS/DVD's of TV shows I ordered or TV guides from ebay.
KristinHerreraFan 12-24-2005, 02:54 AM Checking the mail is exciting! Especially when you know something for you is on the way, like a video/DVD you ordered from the internet or maybe class schedules for the next school year. :D

Where I live, it's mail tomorrow (Saturday) but not on Sunday, of course.

Yes, there will be mail tomorrow but no mail on Monday. Ditto for the day after New Year's -- no mail then too.

OK thanks, I still have some DVD's and VHS on the way and i get one last shot to see if some of them come in before Christmas.
GoldenGirlsFan92 07-14-2006, 11:27 PM I have to say I too like to get the mail, espically when I'm waiting for something. I like getting the mail.
phoebe7165 07-14-2006, 11:32 PM It won't be long before I start getting tons of catalogs in the mail. Usually near the end of summer, it starts up, and they're selling their autumn stuff, then all their holiday stuff. I probably get about 5 a day.
Geez, you order one thing from one catalog!!
passionsfan79 07-14-2006, 11:38 PM Me to espically when Im expecting a package :)

I got my first fall catalog yesterday from LL Bean.
Nothing beats this 90 degree heat like shopping for fleece pullovers.
;)
Kazza 07-15-2006, 09:44 AM What Holiday's on Monday???

Actually this is a resurrected thread from back in late 2005. She was talking about the Monday after Christmas.
Anyway, I usually never receive anything interesting in the mail. However, I did get an autograph from Angus Scrimm in the past.
I do get an awfully abundant supply credit card offers every month. Sadly, I am a responsible young adult. ;)

Geez thanks. I thought my calendar had a typo when Monday was marked with 'last quarter moon'.
