Now I'm from the U.K and season 1 has only been aired. The first we episodes were very good, I was hooked. However after episode 8 i felt as if it
got a little boring....anyone else losing interest?

That's weird because I'm from Australia and after only 8 episodes the network airing it pulled it from its prime time schedule and has only just started airing it again during the summer non-ratings period. After they pulled Joey way back sometime in April I started downloading Joey using torrents. I love the show and wish that channel Nine (a network notorious for cancelling shows and airing seasons sporadically, intertwined with repeats) would have given it a second chance in the ratings season. I have seen all of season two (so far) and it really is getting better. I would go as far to say that it is the best comedy on television, way better than Two and a Half Men, the number one comedy in America. The cliffhanger that just aired in the U.S, reminiscent of a Friends finale was absolutely brilliant. Give it a chance, it honestly does get better, especially when Luci Lu guest starred, she was great. Go JOEY!!!

Yeah, well I'm going to try and get back into it when season 2 premieres...if it does, I'm not sure but I heard it was getting the highest number of viewers in channel 5 history....

Joey is going "on hiatus" here in the states: It will be pulled from the Thursday night schedule after this week's airing.
On January 5th, NBC is moving My Name Is Earl and The Office to Thursday nights. Will & Grace is taking over Joey's 8 PM time slot and a new show, Four Kings is premiering that night.
Never a good sign when a show goes "on hiatus." In many cases, that's a euphemism for "cancelled." Stay tuned...

Joey is definitely not getting channel 5's highest number of viewers it hasn't once made the top ten most watched programmes for channel 5 since it started.

I don't know where you are getting your sources from but Joey has made the top ten a few times since the pilot aired. It has also made the top 20 in the weeks following these.
