during the first seasons, she talks with more of an ATTITUDE. She loses that in the later seasons. She has some sort of "twang" in her tone and words also. Don't get me wrong, pleeeeeeeeeeze, but she talks more "ghetto" than she does later on. Especially when Penny comes on the show, all of a sudden Willona is talking sooooooooo different.

You're right Irene. I agree that Willona most likely matured.

If you watch most shows...the first and last episodes, there are usually differences in the characters. Some subtle and some major.

Yeah Wilona matured thats all especially when she got custody of Penny. She is a mother now and she didnt want to walk around sounding all ghetto. She has to be very careful raising Penny..So she had to speak differently and live a different lifestyle because Children Services were on her seems like.
