Right at the end when the Doobie Brothers and the guys are laughing abt Al Dunbar being arrested for his crime, there is a scene of a guy and a girl who walk to the jukebox and pick a Doobie Brothers song on the jukebox and then the music starts and they are seen "dancing" away from the jukebox. That scene is no more than three seconds, and DAMN TVLAND COULDN'T SHOW THAT????? I can't believe with four minutes left before the next show to start, they couldn't show that little ending.

Yeah they cut out a part of Good Times last night that wasn't more then 2 seconds long when Flo went to the Welfare. I don't know why they butcher shows the way they do.

Didn't they cut out a part when the Givens kids were on?

Like i said before, I don't have a problem with EDITING but it's how you Edit. Don't cut up a episode that has MISSING FUUNY SCENES. I strongly believe TV LAND has INTERNS doing the editing-lol

I'm in complete agreement with Irene here, especially on the Part 2 of "Doobie or Not Doobie". You have to really wonder about WHY TVLand does what it does, in "cutting out" scenes of certain episodes of the classic shows it puts on.
It makes absolutely NO SENSE...whatever their reason for cutting out certain scenes, in certain shows, it is totally UNCLEAR.

I don't get it.

That's why I just watch the dvd's. The Networks are notorius for cutting up T.V. shows. I'm thrilled with all three uncut seasons.:D

When What's Happening used to air in syndication the first time around and a few times after that on another channel, they didn't cut out anything. I just shouldn't be shocked anymore that when anything is shown on TVLand, they will cut out what they want. I just can't believe they couldn't show a three second scene when there remained four minutes before the start of the next show.

I also remember them butchering an episode of bewitched too, they left out a scene.

No syndicated episodes slipped thru on WH? That's good to know. So far I've only purchased the 1st season. I've got all 6 seasons of Sanford and Son and I believe 5 of the 6 seasons have at least one syndicated episode in them :(
