View Full Version : Changing Schedules At The Last Second!
ClassicTVGal 12-21-2005, 11:31 AM This is soooo NOT fair! :( TVLand is starting to do what N@N has been doing! Changing their schedules at the very last second! They had "The System Works" for tonight and now it's no longer on their at ALL! The Network does NOT need to begin working like N@N!! It's sooooo much better than that! At least is has been for some while now since N@N seems to be going downhill, well to me.
What's the deal? I really, *really* wanted to see that episode! Grr... I'm at least glad "Night Court" has a long contract with TVLand. (So I've heard)
I see they are continuing with the rest of the eps, but you never know....
judgestone 12-22-2005, 10:28 PM The tvlink say it was just one night Dec 21st 2005 becasuse of "Sit Down Company"
That the way tvland is they alway change their mind. However that true they have several years contract left.
I told tvlink to ask tvland program director not to do that again the last minute change. Hopefully they learn the hard way. Also tvllink say that last night epsoide will run again on next cycle.
They explan that they have 60 to 90 day sequence advance (computer)
So that last night epsiode will run again on next cycle.
ClassicTVGal 12-23-2005, 12:48 AM Well I figured it would run the next go round, but it's still disappointing. :(
I'm really wanting another Marathon!! :D LOL
McFly121 12-25-2005, 01:25 AM Well, they're run by Nick Networks, so don't be surprised if NC gets mistreated. It survived the 2006 cut, as four shows got the axe, but NC will still be on every night of the week at midnight. Though the encore of that night's ep will no longer be aired at 2:30am EST.
Kevmath 12-25-2005, 01:33 PM Just an FYI, but part 2 of the series finale "Opportunity Knock Knocks", is being pre-empted for a repeat of Standup Sitdown on Wednesday January 4. January 5 is when they start the series again, which will have already aired recently on Sunday January 1. Maybe they could run Part 2, then start with episode 2 (which is airing 12/25). I've got a bad feeling they're going to be replaced by Benson in the midnight time slot in June.
I'll be missing the My Time marathons, as it was a great way to watch 4 episodes in one day.
Kevin...
EDIT: According to Myway.com, they've made a change to the schedule and will be showing BOTH parts of the series finale "Opportunity Knock Knocks" on January 6 and 7 at midnight. They'll then return back to the Season's 1 schedule the following day without skipping episodes.

Yes, I heard about that. And knew about the Nick thing too.
I'd be nice if A&E would pick it up again. Or some other station.

Unless they changed it after you posted this, it says January 5th and 6th for Series Finale. ("Opportunity Knock Knocks")
judgestone 12-31-2005, 02:19 PM I know that just the way tvland is. I wish that TBS network would air N.C
You know when I saw the picture of Harry and Chrstine farewell kiss. Harry Anderson is the only one that Markie allow him to kiss her on the lips from previous show. Christine alway kiss the other guy that she date on the side of the face from what I notice.
Does anyone know how Markie is doing? and does anyone know her fan mail address is for 2005? I know Harry Anderson fan mail address?

Well that picture in my avator is not in the Series Finale, according to NitCrt1. She told me, and I agree, what she told me makes more sense. Christine leaves his office saying that she wants to watch them scrap gum off the bench one last time and exits. Not but a second later she runs back into his office and throws her arms around him and kisses him. Saying how she'd miss him the most.
Well she did kiss "Tony" on the lips. Now are you talking about previous eps? But that is really, really cute and sweet. But I thought she kissed the other guys on the lips too. Like Ted, the one who wanted her to move in with him. (And etc)
Yes, I'd love to know both! :) (LOL)
nitcrt1 01-01-2006, 12:03 PM As cute as it sounds with Markie Post possibly just kissing Harry Anderson on the lips, it is untrue. Struck by your observation, I did some research and noticed a photograph with Ray Abruzzo (Tony) and Markie's characters in a lip lock. It was smack dab on the lips, I'm afraid. Then, I thought about other episodes and she did kiss other suitors on the lips. Now, she may have kissed the other guys on the lips, but felt more comfortable with Harry after working with him so long. Therefore, her kisses with him may appear more...natural...unlike some of the others. I just think it has to do with knowing your acting partner. You sense how they operate and what they are going to do. When you work with someone a long time, you just end up feeling more comfortable with them...like your favorite pillow!
judgestone 01-01-2006, 04:18 PM I kind of wonder if Markie met Harry before Night Court came along? Harry Markie and John were guest star on "Cheer" What do you think?
.Ellen say that Harry keep in touch with John and Markie but in 2005??? but I dont know if they still keep in touch. Im sure that John is shock about New Orleans damages that where his hometown and that where he was born. I kind wonder if Markie and John donates or volunteers anything in New Orleans??? That good question huh. I just keep looking into web and the celebrity news. You all have a wonderful New Year.

Yes, and that is what I meant when I wrote my reply about her kissing the "other" guys. And I agree with what you say, and lots of times they even have them "fake" it, or so it's been a *big* topic on some Forums, and no, I don't mean "Night Court", but other shows too.
ClassicTVGal 01-10-2006, 12:39 PM They'll then return back to the Season's 1 schedule the following day without skipping episodes.
You may have not meant this.... but I know that they are beginning to skip eps again! *Argh*
And what is up with the schedule now?
I think it's a conspiracy. We can't buy season 2 on DVD because Warner Bros won't release it and we can't TiVo and offload it to our own DVD recorders because TV Land won't air all the episodes. I'm soooo frustrated!
hazlenut 01-12-2006, 07:24 PM You know I'm happy that Night Court is finally on tv again, the only thing is trying to figure out exactly when it's on. What is up with TV Land skipping episodes and always pre-empting Night Court for their "originals"...and why was Andy Griffith on at midnight last night instead of Night Court? I just don't understand. Is TV Land doing this on purpose to claim the show had poor ratings so they can pull it off the air?
judgestone 01-13-2006, 10:03 PM All I can say is tvland care about is the rating or playing games. However like I say before the missing epsoide wll run again on next cycle.
megamanj2004 01-17-2006, 03:22 PM Speaking of which. What shows did TV Land cut for 2006?
And TV Land is starting to become what GSN is now. Treating their classic shows like kleenexes and I noticed that their way of split-screeening the credits is almost like what Game Show Network (Now GSN as of March 2004) is and pretty soon, TV Land is gonna start crunching the credits on shows to the point where we can barely see them at all.
And now they're screwing w/ this show, too!
Uh-Unh!

Sounds just like N@N!
judgestone 01-19-2006, 11:51 PM I wish TBS would air N.C they are a good network and they dont have time to play games and they dont change the time slot around too much they just leave alone what they suppose to air.
Tvland is the worst network I ever seen and they are terrible network. They move time slot around keep on preempt all the time the epsoide is missing becaue of premept and take the show off or back on. No wonder nobody cant find their favorite show the viewer left & rating went down. If tvland take N.C off the air then so am I.
TBS is my favortie network along with Lifetime network they just leave it alone. Sometime in my mind I wish TBS would air N.C time slot would be in the evening perhap after either Friend or Everybody Love Raymond sound silly huh?
Did you know that Golden Girls has been on Lifetime since 1996 and the time slot is at 500p central time been on that ever since. LIFETIME I have a message for you dont give Golden Girls to TVLAND OR N&N either.

Well actually their time slot will be changing in March when LifeTime adds "Frasier" to the schedule.
[But it still will be on LT]
judgestone 01-20-2006, 03:32 PM Designing Women is moving to N&N and Fraiser problay will replace Designing Women on Lifetime. Strong Medicne is leaving the series finale next Sunday.
Il be to glad that 2nd season is showing epsoide Christine & Mac on tonight (1-20 -05) hopefully they are not going to pre-empt they better not or Il send Roz to give tvland piece of her mind.
