I just started doing this, and I love it. I used to have Netflix, but after while, all the movies went into wait mode, so I cancelled.

I like the video store because it gets the movies as soon as they're released, but On Demand gets them within a few weeks.

There's no movies to return or no pressure of when to watch a movie.

Of course, my cable bill will be through the roof, but for $3.99 a movie, I'm paying the same as what my video store charges.

My cable bill is high enough:lol: besides, it usually isn't very long after when a lot of those movies pop up on HBO or Stars.

I love On Demand. That's where I get 95 percent of my movies nowadays. I usually just stick to the free On Demand channels like: Showtime, Free Movies, Encore, etc, but if there's a really good movie Iv'e been wanting to see, I'll go ahead and order it. I think it's possibly the greatest invention that cable tv providers ever thought up. It definitely gives me alot of enjoyment. The only thing I don't really like about On Demand, is the lack of variety of the tv shows they give you. I also hate the three minute quickies of tv shows they put up as well. With the amount people have to pay, they should always give you the whole program. Other then those couple things though, I think On Demand is awesome.

I wonder if video stores are feeling the pinch due to online rentals like Netflix and On Demand.

I think so.
Blockbuster created an online rental biz to compete with Netflix - which to me is kind of counter productive, because now your customers will stay out of your video stores and rent stuff online!
My roommate watches some movies On Demand, and he cathes up on all the HBO series thru On Demand too, but me, I like to do things the old fashioned way - renting DVD's with my debit card at the Blockbuster.

Do you head to that section in the small room at the back of the store?

Don't be silly.

Blockbuster never rents adult movies.

No matter how many letters and e-mails you send them, they're never going to change that policy.

I think On-Demand is crap. All their "free" movies suck and the ones that are worth watching, you have to pay for them. pissed: I do like watching TV shows, music videos, and movie trailers on there though.

I have OnDemand and Starz, it's free to watch movies on Starz OnDemand if you subscribe to Starz.
