There are close to a dozen new movies that I would LIKE to have seen but
haven't had an opportunity yet. I'll probably rent (or buy) them on DVD. Of
the ones I did see, I enjoyed:

"THE FANTASTIC FOUR"
"MADAGASCAR"
"STAR WARS III: THE REVENGE OF THE SITH"

"BATMAN BEGINS" was OK, but I thought it was longer than it needed to be
(especially the first part, before Bruce Wayne becomes the Caped Crusader).
"ROBOTS" was all right, but I liked "MADAGASCAR" more.

I really want to see "WALK THE LINE" because I'm a big Johnny Cash fan. I
read that Johnny himself approved the casting of Joaquin Phoenix and that
Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon did all their own singing in the film.

Madagascar was such a cute movie, I couldn't help but love it. But my favorite film of the year was Walk the Line. I saw it three times. Reese is just amazing, and Joaquin was so convincing as Johnny Cash. I hope and expect this movie to be a big show at the Oscars. Perhaps best soundtrack maybe...I mean, they did record their own stuff.

I really want Reese to get the Oscar for Best Actress in that movie. She's been around for so long and I think she's soooo underrated. I'll seriously cry if she doesn't win. :(

One of the last films I watched in 2005 was The Happy Elf on DVD. Watching this movie truly got me into the holiday spirit! I highly recommend watching The Happy Elf because I adored this Harry Connick Jr. charming animated film. As a serious fan of his artistry, Connick successful narrates, executive produces, and provides all the original music for this new NBC holiday show/DVD, based on his wonderful song. The story is endearing and the characters are adorable and comical. The plot is very easy to follow and flows very well from scene to scene. The music featured is upbeat and inspiring. The story and its music truly get me into the Christmas mood and spirit. Although this is more of kid’s film, but adults can still relate to the messages of being good all year round that their children will pick up along Eubie’s journey. This bright and light-hearted film has already became one of my all time Christmas favorites, along with A Christmas Story, Miracle on 38th Street, Love Actually, The Polar Express, A Christmas Carol, and It’s a Wonderful Life! The DVD has numerous great features, including all kinds of fun games for the kids to play - Eubie’s Gift Grab, a North Pole Puzzle Game, Printable Holiday Cards, and a Bluesville Coloring Book!!!

The Oscars haven't even aired yet. She did win the Best Actress (Comedy/Musical) Golden Globe Award though, for her role in Walk the Line! :woohoo:

I'd also like to see her win the Oscar. Right now it seems like it will be between her and Felicity Huffman. If Reese wins the SAG Award later this month, her chances of winning the Oscar greatly increase.

Yeah, you did. Iv'e gotten around to watching quite a few of the movies mentioned in that thread, but not those two yet. I need a good movie to watch though, so I'll probably order the 40 Year Old Virgin on On Demand today. It looks really funny.
