So there's this guy friend I have that I've known for roughly three years. Everyone of our friends left for college and we were pretty much the only two left who decided junior college was a better financial decision for us. So, we've become pretty close. We hang out all the time and tell each other everything; he's really become my "best friend" in the past three months. Anyway, we've always talked about how much we hate the fact that our friends have gone off to college and (with the exception of a FEW of them), written us out of their lives. Like they expect that since we're back home, we'll always be here and they can just talk to us on their break time. Yeah...anyway, a bunch of us got together at his house last night for a holiday party and it was just...weird. He's a completely different person around them. Just...his personality is so different. He seems to try to show off around them; by talking on an on about how he wants to go to this and that college. And completely ignoring me the entire night. Everytime I said some comment back, he'd look at me and either say yes or no. Anyone else said something? "Haha...oh that reminds me..." I can't really explain it; it was just a different/weird personality that I've never seen before in him. And for the record, no I don't like him as anything more than a friend and I'm not jealous; the people we were with were really good friends of mine also who I hadn't really seen since graduation. But anyway...why is he so weird/different around other people? I can't really explain it, but it was just, not the friend I'm used to always hanging out with. What do you guys think? And are guys normally like this? Maybe I'm over-reacting and too sleep-deprived thanks to finals to rationalize this all out. But it's just so weird that he acts like two different people. :confused:
