Just wondering if you guys have seen any of the Lucy specials like the Desilu Revue, Lucy Ricardo on the Ann Southern Show, Lucy Gets Lucky, Lucy Calls the President, Milton Loves Lucy, Lucy/Desi on Make Room for Daddy, or Lucy in London? It was pretty neat seeing the cast in other shows outside of the I Love Lucy series.

Yes, I've seen all of the specials Lucy made. They're all great, IMO! :)

I've seen the well-done 50th Anniversary of ILL, and would like to see CBS SALUTES LUCY- THE FIRST 25 YEARS. A bit pricy of a disc, but is it worth it? Did anyone see it?

I've wanted to see the CBS Salutes Lucy special too, but I heard that Lucy only appears for a few seconds at the end of it to collect an award. It doesn't really seem worth it for the high price it sells for.

If you love Lucy, the price of the DVD is worth it. In all honesty, though, the DVD is worth picking up since 1) it's the only one of her specials that is available (not counting the Stone Pillow movie and the "public domain" stuff from Goodtimes); 2) The highlights of some of the shows are nice, and this is the only place to see some "official" released clips of The Lucy Show; 3) It has a very nice "interview" with Desi Arnaz talking about Lucy which was done in 1976 probable; 4) It's Lucy :)

I've never gotten to see any of the specials except for the Lucy/Desi comedy Hour. TVLand use to play all of those, can't wait until they release them on dvd.

I've heard that Lucy had one or two reunion specials on tv in the late 70's with Vivian Vance. Has anyone else heard about this? That's what I thought this thread covered. Speaking of Stone Pillow, I just bought a copy from ebay. I must say that Lucy topped herself, it was very moving and made me tear up at the end. I wanted to discuss her last movie but, didn't know where to post it.

I haven't heard about a reunion with Vivian Vance but I do know they got together for a special called "Lucy Calls the President." It had a lot of stars from the Lucy Show like Gale Gordon and Mary Wickes and I'm assuming that it was one of the last times Lucy and Viv got together to do a show. It was nice to watch but a little painful to see Lucy's character get her teeth knocked out near the end of the program!
