View Full Version : Has anybody been to New York City around Christmas time?
Brian Damage 12-17-2005, 03:52 PM I love it! The display windows at Sax 5th Avenue, going into Macy's and seeing their decorations, the tree in Rockefeller Center. There is a smell of burnt pretzels in the air. The whole city is decorated. It really puts you in the mood.
TheGreatPretender 12-17-2005, 03:57 PM I just went to NYC last weekend.:D I saw the Christmas show at Radio City and it was amazing. I took a million pictures of the tree in Rockafeller center and a bunch in the Rainbow Room. It was also cool because on one of the ice skating rinks someone proposed to their girlfriend and everyone applauded. It was so cute! I also loved the St. Patrick's Cathedral. But yeah I was very lucky that my first time in NYC was around Christmas time because there is so much to see. Could be a bit warmer though, but it's still awesome.
Brian Damage 12-17-2005, 03:59 PM I'm going tomorrow. My father-in-law rented a limosine and we are going with a bunch of friends.
Karen* 12-17-2005, 04:03 PM I've never been to NYC. :( But I will definitely go there if time and money allows me to.
David 12-17-2005, 04:33 PM When I was 3 :(
MaydayMalonesGirl 12-17-2005, 04:50 PM I loooove the city during Christmas time. I last went maybe three years ago to see A Christmas Carol for my birthday. Last year my father was going to take me in again for my birthday just to see the whole city all Christmas-y, but we never ended up going. We're going to a Ranger game next month, so we'll probably be able to see the tree and everything before it's taken down.
Janice 12-17-2005, 05:16 PM I plan to one of these days. I don't fly anymore, so I'd have to take a train. I know that New York is beautiful this time of year.
Mr. Television 12-17-2005, 05:23 PM I've been to NY plenty of times but I've never been to NYC. :(

Mr. Television 12-17-2005, 05:37 PM I'm surprised, you are pretty close.
I think its because all the time I've been to NY it was to see my family and they don't live by NYC.
Warm & Fuzzy 12-17-2005, 06:53 PM I have; I live here.
EmoJoe 12-17-2005, 08:59 PM ME!!! I only live an hour away. I've seen the Radio City Christmas Show twice and I've seen the tree like 234892349234890238903490 times. I love NYC during Christmas time.
rusyd 12-17-2005, 09:09 PM I have never been to NYC, I hope to though one day.:)
Brian 12-17-2005, 09:48 PM No, I haven't. In fact, I've never been anywhere east of Illinois and the Mississippi River. I'd love to go to NYC or anywhere on the East Coast.
PZelda 12-17-2005, 11:06 PM I'm going to NYC, but not this month... I will be in less than three months though (mid-March). I wish I could see NYC during Christmas...that has been one of my dreams. :D
gilligan fanatic 12-17-2005, 11:38 PM I lived in New York City but I don't remember much at all about Christmas Time. I was there for Christmas twice but I would have been two the first year I was there and three the second year I was there.
Brent88 12-18-2005, 02:13 AM Never have... but I want to. I'm hoping to take a trip sometime after I turn 18 in the summer to a few cities around the Country(New York City) included, and I'd love to go around Christmas. I've always wanted to go...
80sTrivia 12-18-2005, 09:23 AM My sister and I travelled to New York in December five years ago, and it was so incredibly, amazingly beautiful. Like they all say, there's no place like New York City during Christmas!!!
musicradio77 12-18-2005, 02:20 PM Yes indeed! I do love Christmas in New York City. They had the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, The Macy's, the apartment with all the lights on Henry St. and 1st Place in Brooklyn, the whole thing. I've been there for several years, but I like to go there again.
