Theres nothing I would love more than to be able to agree with you all. I wish I knew a lot of men that watched the show but the fact of the matter is I don't know any. It really doesn't matter to me but I think there is one thing that is important to point out regarding all the claims that this show isn't geared toward women. If you watch the old abc promos for the pilot on the dvd, they repeatedly refer to it as a romantic comedy, and we all know romantic comedies are geared towards women. Having said that, Cybil was hot and thats reason enough for any man to watch the show.

If your friends are teasing you like that...I don't know what that says about your friends.

All I know is, I grew up during the original run of the show, there were tons of male fans, and I don't think any of them thought of themselves, and certainly not Dave, as particularly sissy or something. If your friends are in their mid-20s, they are actually about 10 years younger than most of the first-run fans, which might say something else about them as well. They don't have any context, and I don't think they know what they're talking about.

What's wrong with romance, anyway?

Got to agree with Neon. And at the age of 25, its up to you what you like and what you don't like. Your friends should accept that and accept you.

As you say, one of the main reasons to watch is that Cybill is hot!! The main reason a lot of men watched the show during the original run was because of that! I happen to think that Bruce was hot in the show too, which is why I started watching it all those years ago as a teenager!!

Phew.... ;) :o

the pilot first aired close to two months after i turned 19. i watched the pilot and the entire series while it was during it's run. i didn't watch it because cybill was 'hot' as you all say. i watched it because it was a good show.
cybill is ok. she's fine at times, but not consistanly to be considered 'hot', in my opinion.

If it doesn't bother you, why does it matter if it is a woman/man show? I think when you're 25 years old, you're old enough to choose whether you like something or not. If you like the show Moonlighting, go watch it, it shouldn't matter what your friends think/say about it. Ey, did your friends ever see the show? Or are they just judging by it's cover? Maybe if they see David Addison they would like it as well ;)
