Hello! Newbie here! *waves*
I was wondering if anyone knew if Topher Grace left under bad circumstances. I know there are rumours that he'll be back for an episode, but I don't know. It seems that last season was all about picking on and making fun of Eric, and this season, the writers made him do something completely OOC. They've demonized his character when he's not even around. You've got to wonder why this is happening. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

i heard roumors that the last year or 2 he developed kind of a bad attiuted toward the show and went around the set whining alot about how he didnt want to be there anymore and what an artist he wanted to be in his acting and that he kind of looked down on his costars who didnt think there was anything wrong with getting a steady paychek for acting silly and making fans like us laugh i also heard that even after the way he had been acting his costars still wanted to throw him a farewell dinner party and he wouldnt come out of his dresssing room or shake hands or anything else i dont know if these roumors are true or not but if they are mark my words he is heading for a fall from grace pardon the pun as far as fans go because nobody wants to hear thaat crap about what a great artist he is now we just want to pay our money and be entertained

Well, if that is the case, then I may end up losing a lot of respect for Topher. Even though he is a great actor. I will reserve judgement until I know for sure, though.
Another thing I don't get is why people (not just here) always say the shows "two stars" have left. I mean, no disrespect to Ashton Kutcher. I like him, and I like the character of Kelso. But the show did not really hinge upon his presence. It wasn't until the last few seasons, after Ashton became a star of the tabloids, that Kelso really got major storylines. But he wasn't really the heart of the show. I'm not saying this to make people mad, just stating my opinion.
The only other character who's departure I think would really make a difference is Donna. The show centered around Donna and Eric. But now Eric is gone, they are ruining Donna's character, and they won't even give us the satisfaction of a long-distance relationship for them.
I think the only reason I still watch is because the entire cast is so talented. I can't say the same for the current batch of writers, though.

That wouldn't be good if he left in a bad way. Then he would never come back for any episodes or the finale. I'm suprised that he would look down on all of his costars especially since Aston Kutcher was more famous then him.
I don't get why a lot of people leave shows to do better thinks. Doing that 70's show is probably one of the things he will be most famous for.
It's true that Kelso wasn't as main but he did bring a lot of humor to the show. I think I would miss his charecter more that Donna's because his charector brings a lot of humor to the show.

Is Aston's part recurring ? I hope he and Topher make some special appearance because the replacement doesn't work for me.

As far as I know, Ashton is gone for good. He just agreed to do the first few episodes of the season. Since his character moved to Chicago, I doubt we'll see him anymore. Unless Ashton decides to return to the show (doubtful).
Sad to say, I also doubt Topher will ever return , even for a guest spot.
