Hey, I mean I guess the show is pretty good. Pam is getting older though.

Short-Lived Sitcom Potpourri (V) (https://jacksonupperco.com/2019/12/18/short-lived-sitcom-potpourri-v/)

This vehicle (https://web.archive.org/web/20140402222324/http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/topic/3124190-stacked/?view=getnewpost) for (https://www.spokesman.com/stories/2005/apr/13/pamela-anderson-has-high-hopes-for-stacked/) Pam Anderson (https://www.sentinelsource.com/community/weeklies/a-conversation-with-pamela-anderson-of-fox-s-stacked/article_89801f08-89f4-5ec5-83d1-65f607175f2f.html) from an esteemed workplace comedy pedigree looks great on paper, often pitched as the reverse of Cheers: instead of a smart person joining a dumb place, a dumb person is joining a smart place (https://www.nydailynews.com/2005/11/09/lets-shelve-stacked/). But the fine premise, structure, and setting doesn’t have astute enough scripting to overcome predictable storytelling and shallow characterizations (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Series/Stacked), made worse by an uneven ensemble. While Anderson (https://maisonneuve.org/article/2005/05/3/pamela-andersons-istackedi/) is surprisingly decent — she’s no Shelley Long, but she has more range than expected — when the second season inevitably has to pivot away from traditional fish out of water stories to rely more on the plot-providing possibilities of others, help only comes from the affable Winokur (https://www.out.com/entertainment/2005/10/31/shes-stacked) and the legendary Lloyd. Gold (https://www.upi.com/Entertainment_News/2005/03/29/FOXs-Stacked-sacks-Scott/60081112125899/) and Scolaro as the brothers leave a lot to be desired; they share no chemistry, and as the series (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stacked) continually undermines Scolaro to position romantic lead Gold as more central to the action — even more of an anchor than Anderson (https://nypost.com/2005/11/08/boob-tube-odds-stacked-in-pams-favor/) — the “straight man” role he’s supposed to play only reveals his bland depiction and resistance to comedic story.
