WOODSTOCK — The property where a jogger’s body was discovered earlier today is owned by Carroll Spinney, the actor who portrays “Big Bird” and “Oscar the Grouch” on the highly acclaimed television show, “Sesame Street.”

Spinney is not believed to be a suspect in the case.

Investigators from Connecticut and Massachusetts were pressing the hunt Tuesday night for the killer of Judith Nilan, 44, of 8 English Neighborhood Road.

State police have classified her death as a homicide.

The land owned by Spinney is in Woodstock and Southbridge, Mass., according to State Police Sgt. J. Paul Vance. Vance said the state line apparently runs through the outbuilding where Nilan’s body was discovered.

The body of the Woodstock school social worker, who apparently was abducted while jogging, was discovered this morning in an outbuilding about four miles from her house.

“We have some very definite leads and I believe we’re going to be able to wrap up the investigation quickly,” Vance said this afternoon.

Vance said detectives were able to develop those leads through interviews and from evidence found at two “scenes,” one on Redhead Hill Road, a road than runs off English Neighborhood Road, and another on the Brickyard Road property where a state police K-9 team discovered additional evidence and minutes later located Nilan’s body in an outbuilding a short distance away

rofl, I was about to post the same thing.

It's kind of a shame, Big Bird was my favorite on Seseme Street when I was a kid

Yeah, Big Bird use to be the Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny of Sesame Street. He has since been overtaken in popularity to Elmo. :(
