MY turn to complain about an ad I've seen - but not at SO:

I was reading some news about there being an underwater "Dead Zone" at the site of the earthquake that generated last year's tsunami now, when I saw THIS ad: [attached]. It's actually a SWF file, with the attached image, plus an image of some waterfront property, and one other I forget now. Normally, this wouldn't bug me...except, again...IT WAS IN AN ARTICLE ABOUT THE 2004 TSUNAMI THAT KILLED MANY MANY MANY MANY PEOPLE

That is quite unfortunate, but I'm guessing those ads just randomly pop up on sites irrespective of their content....but I could be wrong...

You're right, they do. It just...bugged me...given the content of the article
