WXRK (92.3 K-Rock)/New York GM Tom Chiusano announced in a staff meeting yesterday that the station will go jockless following Howard Stern's last show on Dec. 16. Airstaff will return when the station emerges as FM Talk "92.3 Free FM" on Jan. 3, 2006, with new calls WFNY already applied for. It's the end of an era, as the station flipped to AOR as "K-Rock" in July 1985, with Stern as its first afternoon driver.
